Haha, I noticed being called man and bud. You guys do know I got a bajingo (woman parts) aka. I'm a chick LOL haha
This is more than likely what the picture ORIGINALLY was. I bet someone just took it into Photoshop and quickly changed the hue of the image to make it red, just as I just did. I bet it was originally yellow like the Desire (used to be Bravo) is.

Not to mention there is a SIM card slot. Which says GSM, not CDMA. Of course, the Incredible could be a world phone, but that wouldn't explain all of the other things that just don't add up. I say we can file this one under a definite no-go for a theory.
that's it, from now on, you and a few others will be known as "the lone gunmen."
$400 seems generous. That brand new 2nd Droid you flip on Ebay will probably fetch mid to upper $300s. Let's just say you do sell it for $400. Take away the $240 you're committed to (and we're neglecting tax and fees on the line), that's just $160 net from the sale. I'm going to assume the $199 outlay for the first Droid now would be the same for the Incredible at release on contract, so that washes. If you sell your used Droid in 2 months or so when it releases, you're more likely to get $350 used, maybe less, but let's just say $350. Now, I've been generous here and your always better assuming lower take than higher take if you're expecting a net positive outcome, but that aside, I calculate you've netted $350+$160=$510. A brand new Droid is $569. I'm betting the Incredible is $599 or more retail, but again, I'll give some benefit of the doubt so let's say the Incredible has the same retail price. You end up pitching in $569-$510=$69. The Incredible cost you $270 in the end when holding out you could have gotten it for $200. And that's best case. This plan might work if you're looking for a two month holdover, but you're not funding the purchase, you're making it cost you more, plus the headache. Oh, and we forgot to mention whether or not you're covering shipping and then there's the associated ebay fees. Recommendation: Ditch this plan.
Of course I don't know if the "red backed" pic is an Incredible or not, but I have to believe that the earlier leaked pics of the Incredible are not going to be the final production styling. Many complained about the back plate in those pics, but it's the front of the phone that makes me believe it won't be the final version. The bland iphone-like front does not match any of the styling cues we've seen from HTC lately. The phone in the leaked pics may have looked okay a year or two ago, but no one would sell that thing as an "incredible" superphone today. The Legend and Desire are gorgeous, and I just don't believe the Incredible will look that way when/if it is sold by VZW.
Anyway, my point was that I don't think we can use the leaked pics as rock solid evidence against the legitimacy of newer theories/pics being posted. Again, no real data to back it up... just my thoughts.![]()

Scrubs reference?
Also, I wonder what kind of advertisement VZW will use for the Incredible... Considering its more powerful than the Droid, and Verizon has advertised the hell out of the point that "Droid Does," what do you think the ad campaign for the Incredible will be? "Incredibly better than Droid?" Seems like Verizon shot itself in the foot by having this huge, powerful ad campaign for a phone that gets trumped on all fronts by the Incredible...
And thanks for posting that video, for some reason I thought the Incredible was a lot thicker. It looks pretty thin even with that back plate impression.
I just wish they would make it a 4.3" screen.
I'm not sure how many of you have had a chance to play with the HD2, but despite being very boxy compared to the Desire or Nexus one, it is very sexy. It's all screen with a small gap on the top for a speaker and a slightly larger gap at the bottom for four buttons (Windows mobile buttons). It's super thin and oddly fits very well in a pocket.
Well played. Yes, was thinking of a hold over. Guess my "evil plan" has holes. Oh well.
Believe me, I've been trying to do the same thing, come up with a plan that works. I thought about doing the "add a line" with the Eris on a 1 year contract and swapping it over to my primary. That works out nicely until you go through the checkout and they tack on $35 activation. They only waive it for a two year contract. Oh well. By the time I come up with a fullproof scheme, the phone I'm holding out for will be out.![]()
Yeah, I agree... I guess the SS looks much better with the plain iphone styled front because the screen is so very large. It takes up the entire face of the phone except for the "buttons" along the bottom. On the leaked Incredible pics, there seems to be much more extra space between the top of the screen and the ear speaker giving it a longer, narrower look. The styling of the Desire seems to overcome this issue. I guess a phone with a 4.3" screen is tough to make look bad, especially with so little bezel or whatever you'd call it.I hope you're right...but isn't that exactly the way the new Sprint Supersonic is styled?
I don't think Verizon shot themselves in the foot at all. It is not like they said, the Droid is the greatest phone there ever will be. It was/is their best offering at the time, and they promoted it that way.
I think it would be naive to think that a newer phone wouldn't have better technology than a phone released about 6 months earlier, it is the same with anything in technology. Marketing is for that momment in time, I wouldn't even mention the Droid if I was Verizon in promoting the Incredible.
I understand VZW has to market its current phones as best it can, I would only hope it does. I just find it funny that the Droid is being advertised so persistently as the "phone that does" and VZW is releasing something that basically outclasses the Droid in every aspect - I cant imagine how they will market it but yet keep some of the Droid's glamor intact. Obviously they wont mention the Droid in Incredible ad's![]()

That's it then... the the solution for the ho-hum look of the Incredible is to make the screen 4.3" and the problem is solved. To be honest, I don't hate the look of the Incredible THAT much, but it definitely doesn't compare with some other newer HTC phones.
Me too. I just can't see a name incredible for a 3.7" screen. Incredible for me would be HD, HDMI out, 4.3" screen, might as well throw in sirius radio all channels not just internet ones, tivo remote viewing, netflix watching, flo tv, ps3 games, and xbox games. That is my Incredible phone.
I just received this email on the Palm from Verizon. They must be making more room for something INCREDIBLE!
