Root IDEOS X5 with Gingerbread 2.3.7 Oxygen ROM

Hello guys!

Last day I made my self some work and installed costum ROM from Oxygen for Indeos x5 with android Gingerbread 2.3.7
If you are interested in doing the same thing, i made a video on youtube for that matter. it is the easiest way to show how to do it (for those who don't know how to...)

In video it is a preview of OS(Gingerbread 2.3.7) and in the info and at the end of the video there are all necessary information about procedure...

Quadrant benchmark score with original ROM at the CPU speed of 800Mhzis about 1300
Quadrant benchmark score using Oxygen ROM at the CPU speed of 1400Mhz is about 2200+...

I see that Huawei have just released the Gingerbread upgrade to their site. Though only 2.3.5 how much different is it from your 2.3.7?
I see their new phone, the Honor, is running 2.3.6 (in youtube videos) and that looks great.

that honor looks great to me 2

i didn't have that original 2.3.5 version on my phone, so i can't exactly say what are the differences, but i have had u8800PRO with that android and there are some minor differences. there is a big visual differences, you can change that with launchers so... you don't have to worry about that...
the best thing about rooted android 2.3.7 from oxygen are software vs hardware changes: battery duration, cpu speed, settings, costumizable-flexible status bar and so on...

I need some help if some one can help me out ??



I HAve Ideos X5 u8800 and i want to install oxygen Rom to my Cell i have rooted my cell but when it goes to android system recovery
apply update from sdcard then i choose the zip file of oxygen rom its say's:

finding update package...
opening update package...
verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file-signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.


How i can install or what does it mean signature verification failed ????

Can anybody help me please

To install (you need root):
1. Backup /cust_backup/image/recovery.img
2. Download, extract and place the recovery.img into /cust_backup/image/
3. Done.

To go to recovery:
1. Power off
2. Hold Vol+ and Power buttons to power on (hold both buttons UNTIL you see the recovery)

Perfect Recovery 4.0.0.5 by Genokolar - xda-developers
On the bottom there is a Attachement... download that attachement and follow the procedure.. this way it should work... i hope you know how to use CWM Recovery.. if not, post here and we will help...
