Help Do I need to buy and SD Card?

Just bought my Optimus Slider and it will be here Wednesday. I think I remember reading that it came with an SD card. Or do I even need one with this? (I'm a newbie to smartphones).

it comes with a 2GB card, unless you have lots of music it should be plenty

There is memory built into it, but that is for your apps. Photos are saved to uSD card.

Thanks. As you can see I'm clueless. That link for the Link2SD was so over my head I have no idea what they are talking about.

This phone is mostly for texting. I decided to get a smart phone because I need to take my computer in for repairs and last time I almost had a nervous breakdown without it. I needed some way to to connect to the net that was not wifi.

My phone needs are pretty basic. Texting and surfing the net. I rarely even talk on the phone. Apps? maybe once I get into them and I don't listen to music that much.

If there is some really dumbed down information I can save for when I get my phone that would be great.
