A good anti-virus for Sony Ericsson Live

Hello,

Wondered if anyone has found an anti-virus that works well with the Live, as I have just got one.

Going through the lists of anti-virus is seems some work better on some phones than others.

Thanks, but is not what I am looking for.
That is pretty much (un)common-sense, something that anyone who has a PC of any type should know...

I think I may stick to the one pre-installed.

You're thinking in Windows terms. You're not using a PC or Windows. You're using a phone running Android which is based on Linux and inherently virus-free. Antivirus is a waste of time and resources except to scan files that may be transferred from the phone to a vulnerable Windows machine.

Linux is not inherently virus-free.

The real issue here is that if someone manages to find a vulnerability and exploit it, there's no way that the antivirus companies could pre-emptively predict that discovery and thwart it in advance.

Antivirus does not protect you.

Except for the occasion I miss something, or have a lapse of common sense. A nice starting point for when things aren't working normally... Sounds like the idea is a bit controversial with some here, but for me its peace of mind particularly when down loading.

Anyway... I also like a lot of the anti thief stuff included on many of them.

Antivirus is useless, though.

If you miss something (i.e., you make the conscious choose to install a malicious application on your phone--it doesn't just magically appear on your phone without your consent), antivirus won't be able to stop you from installing the trojan.

Up to 80% success rate on some anti-virus software when scanning down loads, and some stop the down load if malware is found. None of the software is that good at scanning apparently (I looked it up before asking). Most have anti-theft as well.

What I am try to get around is compatibility issues.

Oh, and as this is my second touch screen, the other being an ancient HTC (back when they were all Windows), I am still occasionally 'clicking' on things when scrolling etc.
