Help Lost photos!!

SS_GS2

Newbie
I had about 1500 photos on my 16GB SD card, but today when I went to the stock "Gallery" I found only 880 or so. Upon using a File Explorer I found that it was still showing 1500 items but half of these items had size zero bytes. I took the SD card out of the phone and put in the laptop and it also showed the same thing. The files which have become zero bytes are in no specific order.

Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

You have any files in the folder Lost.dir

It usually means the files got corrupted, and you are unlikely to get it back.... unfortunately

Yes there are five files in the Lost.dir. Any way to use them to retrieve the photos? Thanks...

Google "Image Recovery" and there are many file recovery programs to get what you would never think is recoverable off your card. If it can recover the files, they are gone.

I know you do not want to hear it but if you have 800 very important images on your phone, would you not back them up? Just once a week copy the images to a folder on your desktop.

Sorry for your loss.
