a great armband for the Galaxy Nexus:

FWIW, I contacted tunebelt, this was my reply (took less then 10 minutes after me sending it!)

I tell you that is one popular phone. You are about the 100th person to ask in the last week!

Anyway, here is some info -

The AB84 works best. The Galaxy Nexus really maxes out the length of what can fit inside AB84. And, being made for protective cases, the AB84 has a bit of extra room on the depth fit for the Galaxy Nexus but it isn't like it will be loose or anything.

As to other products, AB83 is not long enough and AB85 is really kind of too big so that is why AB84 is best.

You couldn't use your protective case with AB84. Although if you did keep it on, then AB85 might fit best. I really don't know anything about that case or how much bulk it adds. (It would be good if it did add bulk in the case of AB85 as it would make it fit better using up more depth.).

Hmm... maybe I should have looked more at the AB85 now, but I am sure the AB84 will be fine. Even if I do have to remove the case when I run, it will be fine. Thanks for posting this though, it's great they are so responsive!

The AB82 fits up to 4.5" tall. The AB83 fits up to 5" tall, the AB84 fits up to 5.1" tall, the AB85 fits up to 5.5" tall. The Galaxy Nexus is a bit over 5 1/4" tall.

I actually used to squeeze my Fascinate into an AB82 IN a kickstand case (when I got my Touch Pro2 I got the AB82 at the time it was the biggest armband around!! They are very stretchy, but this was far from a good fit, it stuck out the top quite a bit.

I like this for when I go inline skating or to the gym, I just wonder if the AB85 will fit my Nexus with its Siedio Surface case?

I would try emailing them from the contact us link at the website. I was impressed at how quickley they responded to me. If you find out, please post the results!
 
My AB84 came in Saturday evening, and I will post pics as soon as I can (busy couple of days), but it does fit with my diztronic case (the top cover barely stretches over but does). The only annoyance is that with the case, there is a good ~2mm gap between the screen and the protective plastic shield; but it is fully functional (even notification bar and soft buttons), it just looks kind of odd (like a cheap 3D effect that doesn't really work). Pics tonight (hopefully)...

These are great cases by the way, I already love it and recommend it heavily to anyone...
 
Any updates here on this one guys? I wanna pull the trigger on two of them but I want to make sure I have the right size with a case on. Currently I have on a casemate pop but I have the diztronic rev 3 in the mail and would like a seidio case if they make one that works with a car dock. Let me know what size would work best the 84 or 85?

I have the 84 and it works with the Diztronic (barely fits height-wise, but does with a little stretch and is secure)- I'm sorry I haven't put pics together yet. Any case that adds more than the Diztronic definitely look more towards the 85. The 84 is a fairly snug fit with the Diztronic.
 
AB84 is definitely too small for a Nexus with an Otter Defender case. It's close enough though I expect the AD85 will be a good fit. I have one on order from Amazon since I couldn't find one local.

Yeah, otterbox cases add a decent amount of bulk

I'm going to pick up the 85 to go with my seidio case, I'd imagine it should work well.
 
I received my AB85 yesterday and used it today during my workout. The Otterbox defender case fits inside just fine. I doubt you'll have a problem with the Seidio case.
 
I'm afraid I do not find the original AB85 that great for the GNex. I have the Diztronic case, and while it fits, it's kind of a pain to put in and overall just feels slightly wrong.

Not bad, just not what I was hoping for.

Wow so many conflicting stories about the fit and finish of the different tunebelt models makes it hard to pull the trigger. Can some of you guys updated this one with pics if you don't mind? That would help me out greatly. Thanks.
 
Hey guys, I recently got the Tune Belt AB86 (the version tailor made for the Galaxy Nexus). I came across this thread when looking for an armband last week, and I appreciated the information and wanted to "pay it forward" with my first post on Android Forums.

I use the Galaxy Nexus without a cover or skin, and I find the AB86 to fit exactly as described - it fits like a glove. It's not loose at all but it's also not so tight that it's difficult to slide the phone in and out. The phone feels very secure in the armband. I had no problems using the phone while inside the armband.

I use bluetooth headphones, but there are three cutouts at the bottom of the "holster" for accessing the headphone jack and mini-USB port. The holes line up perfectly with the device.

This is the first sport armband i've used, so I can't compare the comfort to any other products, but it feels fine. I didn't experience any slippage or discomfort.

I would recommend this armband to anyone who uses an uncovered Galaxy Nexus, or any one who uses a really, really thin skin. If you wish to use your Galaxy Nexus in a case then I'm afraid you'll have to look for a bigger armband. Also, if you have larger arms, you might want to consider the armband extender - the "stock" armband is pretty short. It's only about $2 extra anyways - I bought it to save me the piece of mind and potential frustration.

Which stereo bluetooth headset do you use? I'm thinking about getting one for workouts, but just don't even know where to begin... searching amazon, I just can't decide...
 
Another question I have, is will the phone fit inside the (or any) armband with the incipio case still on it? Maybe its not a big deal to change cases for exercise, but if it fit, that would be one less thing to hassle with + extra protection.
 
I now have the ab86 tunebelt with a diztronic case and an xo skin covering the glass. Tunebelt does not recommend this band with a case or screen protector but I tried it anyway. Results: I tried it with the xo skin and without the diztronic and didn't like how the band's clear plastic was sticking to the xo skin. It works better with the tpu case on because it raises the band's plastic off of the xo skin.

It's a bit of a pain to get in and out as you have to be extremely careful not to pull off the xo skin. Not the ideal situation but so far it's working for me and hopefully the neoprene will loosen up over time and make it easier to use.

my unfortunate conclusion is there is no perfect stereo bluetooth option out there. one requirement for me is that i don't want a band of any sort, so the popular motorola options are out.

i'm using the jaybird freedoms right now (http://www.jaybirdgear.com/jf3/). they are great in terms of style, sweat resistance, battery life, and customer service. the microphone is useless. i use it just to say "hello, one second" then switch my phone off of bluetooth. i have problems with them staying in my ear during hard running (not bad problems, but every mile or so i have to adjust; i run regularly), and they have sent me the secure fit attachment for free to see if that helps. overall, these are the best bluetooth sports headphones i've found, but with some significant caveats which are OK for me, but maybe not for you.

i haven't really looked at the stereo bluetooth market in almost a year since i'm happy with the JF3s for now, so it's possible there's something newer and better out there.

hope this helps! i know the motorola headphones with the band are quite popular, but i don't want a band around my head while working out (personal preference).
