Willing to make wallpapers

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask or create a new one..but here goes.

I have a Droid Charge and can NEVER get the wallpaper to look right on the screen. It always appears zoomed in and I can never line up the wallpaper the way I like it because of this. Any suggestions?

Looks like your resolution should be 960 x 800. And in that you should have what you want centered in a panel that is 480 x 800. Do you have one you need sized so you can see?

In addition to what Babyblues says -

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but when you're setting the wallpaper on you phone and the (usually) green selection box appears to choose which part of the wallpaper to use, you can press and drag the edges to enlarge it.

If you're still not getting satisfactory results you can try using an app to set you wallpaper. The 2 I've see recommended the most are:

A few notes here for your future reference - That picture is in the wrong aspect ratio to make a very good Android wallpaper. Idealy, you'll want to use one that is wider than it is high. That one is also a little smaller than you'd like. Your phone will enlarge it to fill it's screen, and this will cause a loss of quality. In the future, you should look for something closer to the 960x800 pixel resolution BabyBlues mentiond.

I found a larger version of that pic to use to make this. Hope that's how you wanted it.

Thumb for display only - do not save!

To save at full 960x800 resolution - Follow the link bellow and long press the image on your phone until the save option pops up, Then find it in your photo gallery and set as wallpaper. If it looks fuzzy, you may be better off viewing it from a computer, right click and "save as", and finally transferring to you phone via USB or email.

Thanks for the contribution - looks good. I wasn't trying to step on your toes by doing one myself. I just put his image into TinEye to see what options there were for this one, saw that there were many good, large versions, and figured I could get it done quickly.

I didn't feel any toe stepping. I was in need of a distraction from being sleepy and thought this was perfect. At the least it lets me learn more. I like when there are multiple versions for people to choose from.

Do me a favor here - take and post a screenshot of your center screen (if you don't know how, see: Tip: DROID Charge Can Take Screenshots Without Root – Droid Life) With this wallpaper - 960x800_wallpaper_template.png - set on your phone. This will really help me to get everything lined up properly. Once I get that, I should get it done pretty quickly.

Well, I meant for you to take the screenshot with the wallpaper set at it's largest (it looks like you've got it zoomed in some), but no biggie - I think I've got a pretty good idea of where it should line up. Let me know how this works for you...

OK, try this - When that crop box appears, press and hold and edge of it. Now drag your finger outward to make it encompass as much of the image as possible, then save it. Is that working?

Oh..and I think I fixed a problem. They were scrolling. I downloaded that wallpaper wizardrii and set it to \not scrolling and it seems to help ALOT.
