I believe that as we are coming closer to having a custom recovery made, we should have a show of hands on what rom we should have ported first. I, personally would like to see the HTC rezound rom ported (HTC sense ftw).

edit: I'm sorry for making this thread/poll.. I now realize that this does more harm than good. The intentions that was behind this was to help developers figure out their number one part in porting a rom- which rom should I choose. But now seeing the recent activity, I think of it more as of what a fellow member (Can't think of the user off the top of my head) has stated: "What roms do we demand first?"

If I wanted Sense I wouldve bought an HTC. Galaxy S II, we have that rom already. Lets be realistic.

CM7 and MIUI

Well HTC doesn't come prepaid exactly out of the box. We already have the Galaxy S II rom? http://androidforums.com/warp-all-things-root/481405-zte-warp-all-things-root-guide.html says otherwise.
Galaxy S II just has Gingerbread like the Warp. Nothing spectacular about it. Matter of fact Sense is the UI not the ROM. So in the case of Sense roms there really isnt anything special about them either. The only thing different about Galaxy S II and the warp rom is the launcher. Samsung does have some cool widgets though.

sense ui (3 and up) has the 3d carousel transition, nice homescreen widgets (Facebook, gmail, famous weather widget, lockscreen shortcuts (useful), etc.

Edit: yes I know that the sense ui isn't the rom so that's why my option was stated as HTC rom and not sense rom.

Ctmod would hold me over until cyanogenmod came out, but I would prefer a d w launcher to zeam

Hello,

Best rom concept for me is this:
- 100% everything working perfect
- More functionality
- Speed
- Good UI
AOSP roms lacks of some functionality like Update PRL and Profile, so must be a sense rom
Heavy GUI slows down phone because resource consuming. I had an HTC EVO 4G (broken now) and I flashed a lot of roms on it. ZTE Warp is similar to EVO, same screen size, same processor speed.
I do not know if could be possible to make an Android 4 rom with all functionality that a sense rom have.

Thanks a lot

I am unable to even give my opinion, cuz I have no idea what any of that looks like or how it even acts like. that is a shame. I wish I knew more so I could understand which is better.

Go to google and search for cyanogenmod and miui you will see the possibility we have to greatly improve the functionality of our phones

I would like to see a CM7 (or better) or MIUI rom. I also like some of the features of a sense ui but those roms are usually huge in size. At this point any custom Rom would be great.:D

Mission Impossible but best thing:
:D:D:DCM9 with Update Profile and Update PRL:D:D:D
This is a tech joke, anyway I would like CM9 or ICS on our ZTE Warps.

I think personally what would be best first is cm7 for the mean time then once we get ICS we can get cm9 working on that then go from there
