Live Wallpaper Question

Can someone tell me why the spinning galaxy live wallpaper doesnt come with the stock rom and only comes with some roms? Plus, any idea where I can find it? I'm on a rom that doesnt include it.

Also, are there any live wallpapers designed for the GNex? Meaning, high resolution?
 
Every manufacturer can adjust the wallpapers or sounds which come in stock ROM, so it's up to phone producer or telco. Don't know which wallpaper do you mean exactly (haven't found LWP with that name), probably it will be one of these:

I thought that you were looking for a live wall paper of the Nexus phone spinning on its axis.
Not the Galaxy as in space..:D
 
Thanks! I'll take a look. I'm wondering if it was only available in the GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus and not the LTE version.

I had it when I was on the Codename rom, but I've since switched to aokp rom, and it's not included.
 
Maybe this will help. I was able to grab a screenshot from someone that was running a rom with it included.

Compiled it about 15 minutes ago. The reason its not always included is because its an optional live wall. AOSP doesn't even compile it by default. This is for 4.0.3.

Installs, but selecting it as a live wallpaper... it's hanging at "Loading live wallpaper ..."
 
Try rebooting. Although, I've never installed it. I've always adb pushed it. That may make a difference.

Its also for 4.0.3. If you need 4.0.2, let me know.

We are in the VZW non-root forum. Of course we only have 4.0.2. No love after reboot.

I approve. I like VERY much... This and the stock Phase Beam seems to be the only ones that dont lag much...I love it!!!


Has anyone figured out a good port of The Transformer Prime's "Mywater2" (The one with the orca)? I installed it on my phone but it just force closed. I NEED that wallpaper, like you dont even know!!!

Which Android version do you have and which wallpaper did you download. The first one is for 4.0.3 which isnt released yet, its just a leak that rom users are playing with.

The second one is for version 4.0.2 which is the official version and should be on most phones.

I am running the aokp rom build 19, which is 4.0.3. I downloaded the first link provided.

EDIT: Nevermind, I ended up downloading it from the PC then transferring it to my phone and it installed just fine.

Actually any 4.0.3 roms out there are aosp.
