my plan is to keep the rom stock 'looking' but that dont mean we cant have better than stock apps lol

Cool! It is actually one of the reason I get back to stock, nevertheless gingersteem is an excellent ROM, looking forward for the updated stock keyboard
 
Update on OP: market update fix, added lg stock keyboard and some stock widgets (some) few other fixes, only issue left should be hdmi which you can visit mt for that :D

Well if you have PG or Mtms's kernel flashed then with either setCPU, cpu master, or any overclocking apps you can increase the core frequency speed. By default it is set to 1024 mahz. But with those apps you should be able to overclock to a higher speed. Be aware, all phones are different so it may not handle a certain speed or it could, it depends. But please make sure you don't set the speed "set on boot" if that speed is not stable.
 
Got it! btw I just flashed 1.2 lg ROM but, haven't seen any changes like the stock lg keyboard and/or additional widget , did wipe cache/dalvik. Did I miss something?
 
you have to disable the swype and enable stock lg keyboard in settings, and the other changes aren't things you really notice except the market, wasn't updating for me so i had to fix that and now it updates to the new market :D and i had to fix the data install script because it wasn't even on the updater-script, not sure how the hell i missed that before lol but its fixed

well i tried using the 1.2 hdmi fix he had but was causing massive reboots with this rom, or at least my phone lol you are more than welcome to try his kernel though... i just want to wait a lil and see if they will update the kernel(most likely it will be updated lol) but you guys are more than welcome to flash the kernel over the rom and try it out yourself... could have just been my own personal experience...
 
Just figured out that the videos I record are not payable through the stock camera app. Another media player fixes...PG please advise..maybe kernel not sure

well that explains the other 'movie player' app lol will put it back in, sorry... friggin metro screwin with stuff they shouldn't screw with..

I have flashed PG hdmi fix kernel, and it was stable at 2.0g, at 2.1g still kinda stable but not able to run antutu benchmark test, beyond 2.1 will reboot

I have flashed PG hdmi fix kernel, and it was stable at 2.0g, at 2.1g still kinda stable but not able to run antutu benchmark test, beyond 2.1 will reboot

on this rom? did you flash the kernel after booting the rom or did you flash kernel directly after the rom?

First, I wanted to say thanks for your work i really like the rom.

I'm having trouble assigning a new default dialer. I had no trouble with other roms (stock and gingersteem). After I install a new dialer, when i press the phone icon on the desktop i don't get a popup allowing me to select which dialer to use. I checked the stock dialer in manage applications and there has been no default set, so nothing to clear.

Can someone please let me know if I'm doing something wrong? Thanks for your help!
 
I am using dw dialer. It does have its own icon which works fine if i press it.I was trying to assign dw dialer as the default dialer so the phone icon on the home screen would open it instead of the stock dialer.

I thought i was able to do this on the stock ROM before all the new roms were developed but maybe i'm wrong.
 
Anyone else having problems with the lit up menu, back, search and home keys on this ROM??

Never had a problem with them before, but now since flashing this ROM... after a while the bottom keys don't light up anymore. Nothing a reboot doesn't fix, but still annoying nonetheless.

you might want to flash back to your backup and then revert what you did wrong...
