Just a heads-up from your friendly over-worked mods....

Creating multiple accounts is against forum rules. We have enough to do day-to-day without spending valuable time chasing down "joke accounts". Any repetition will result in a permanent ban. You have been warned.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Something I've been thinking about recently.. Imagine the scale this is on. Thousands and thousands of phones to be manufactured and distributed across the country. Countries around the world involved.. Field testers.. vendors... Advertising campaigns. Hundreds of people involved. Numerous businesses... And all we have is a few minor leaks and rumored specs? And this is all we can find? I find this interesting & confusing.

Man!! They must have security in place that rivals the military!!!

I mean GEES! This is NOT a new super weapon! It's a phone!!!

Now everything is going dark? AND WE ARE FINDING LESS?

Has this been some kind of slight of hand campaign to throw us off the REAL track? lol!! Who really knows.. .

I for one am excited about the next generation of phones coming out.. and I am anxiously waiting on the incredible. Or whatever it is thats coming! :D

I can't wait to see what our sleuths discover today... :p

That is the video that leaked a while ago about the incredible.

Yeah, but do you remem the vid taken that showed most of the floor rather than the phone? Is he a mutli tester or what? We don't know whats real right now...Could all be a conspiracy...I'm just saying...They build up our emotions then introduce us not the incredible but the HTC "Clever"... haha

8672 would make the phone incredible! That one will probably go in the supersonic. I could still see Verizon getting the supersonic. They did use a stealth fighter in tv ad. Why not use a supersonic jet? :) This chip will be out probably in Nov.

The above was from the desire forum the other day talking about the qualcomm chips. Remember back when Verizon inventory said we was getting desire and turned out with the name Eris. I am thinking the Incredible will be changed to Supersonic. Can't you picture swiping your finger over the screen and it changing in supersonic speed or when Maverick from Top Gun buzz the tower! How much buzz would you cause when you pull out your Supersonic?

I too am a Hen amoung all these Roosters. And I can say that with all they have uncovered they do RULE the Roost!

Is the only thing linking the phone in the video to Verizon for sure the Verizon Boot Screen? I know there is a phone showing up in the inventory system, but it doesn't have to be the phone we saw in the video.

I know I asked this before and didn't see an answer, but does anyone know how hard it is to put a Verizon Boot Screen on a non-verizon phone?

I just don't see them upping the RAM to 512! Everything I see is 256! Nor is that incredible or supersonic...how about supershitty! I am hoping I am wrong and shove my foot in my mouth! I know its all rumored to have "this or have that" But at the same time us or me atleast, are "instant gratificationalists" So when I read that a phone that is supposed to be so incredible...I ask, "well to who's specs"? Im not a hater...Nor a believer until I have actual specs! At the very most I am happy though to read it is 256 so that if it is 512...I am all that more excited!!!

No one is happy to read that there is only 250MB of ram, but this number came from the jerk in the first video leak who, judging by the video, had no real idea what he was talking about. Also the eris had 288MB of ram or something like that. Its not logical for a company like HTC to make a new phone with a larger screen and specs like a bigger camera, 720p video (maybe) and android 2.1, and give it less ram than the eris...its not logical

Also, just wanted to point out that this may be the Supersonic after all. If you look at individual frames of the enhanced video, you will notice a slight white ring around the buttons... it's quite possible that they added an optical trackpad to the Supersonic since the renders we've seen. 0:11 seconds in 720p gives the best shots of those rings.

We've seen one example of the Incredible without the red earpiece. But I can show you that we've seen it here, here, here, and here that the supersonic doesn't have a trackpad. Clearly the device in the video does.

Okay, quick question. Who thinks Verizon will keep the name "Incredible" when officially announced? I know the Desire threw me for a loop, as I have always called that phone the Bravo. Reason I ask, I found a new picture on flickr that is dated Feb. 25, 2010 that was taken with an "HTC Paradise" which is new to me. Just food for thought.

The picture that shows Incredible imprinted onto the back of the phone makes me believe that incredible is its release name.

It is supposed to have 256mb RAM but I guess all that is, is a rumor. It hasnt been confirmed yet and a few pages ago a few of us did some heavy RAM speculation; basically it doesnt make sense to release it with sub-512mb RAM.

Love getting some coffee and reading the forum updates before class. Again, nice work guys. Its interesting the video got pulled along with some of the pictures though, guess they read Engadget or Phandroid.

If they are in China, I believe China is like 14 hours ahead of us. Maybe the taken time is China time, but the uploaded is US time.

Also, it could be people just messing with us now. :)

I don't really think it is people just messing with us now. All of the pictures for the most part (aside from these) have been taken down, but I do recall that same notebook in one of the first - if not THE first - pictures that one of you guys found on Flickr.

One thing that's really exciting is that all of the great detective work has brought internet-wide attention to this thread. We all sit on here and say things like "the back sucks" or "256 MB of RAM, seriously" and assume that no one from HTC or VZ ever sees it. Well, its highly possible now that the initial toughts/complaints about the phone have been seen and communicated. We're probably the largest focus group that HTC has had for this phone...and even better is that we are the people who will actually buy it. So just maybe they've taken some of our "suggestions" into consideration and are making some tweaks before release.

Personally, the color of the backplate doesn't bother me much, though a redder red would be nice. The SHAPE of it though...ick. What I'd like to see, however, is a slick black backing, with a slight rubberized strip on the side for grip. I hate dropping my smartphone.

The great thing for HTC, though, is that the alternative phone for a lot of us if the specs for the Incredible doesn't pan out the way we want is another HTC phone. I'm hoping that the Incredible does come out with more than 256. If not, I will simply go with the N1 and sacrifice Sense in the process.
