Root Tethering help?

I was just curious. I have rooted my phone and all that good stuff, got the recommended apps, and searched for "tethering apps". Found some like Barnicle and Easy Tether. Is there any way to get my phone to tether to the Metro network and act as a hotspot? I know the connection will be horrid I just want to know if and how it can be done.

Tethering is against the terms of service and we can't discuss it on the forum afaik.

i wouldve told him wireless wifi tether was the best for setting up a mobile hotspot from his phone imo, fast connection, just install and connect..but they all got their bugs and (phone overheats, drains battery fast)..however i wasnt sure if it was allowed, hence "unless im not understanding something"
and ive read the post above mine a few times before i replied..i dont understand your point..i came into this thread with every intention of helping the guy until i saw your post

Thanks for letting us know about the tos change.

Clock Work Mod Tether. DOES NOT REQUIRE ROOT. Although after 14 days it says you'll be limited in data transfer amount unless you purchase PRO version.

Sorry if the links aren't allowed, I looked for a rules and regulations post but didn't see one. Admittedly I didn't look for very long. Just delete the post if i violated anything.

Linking to non pirated apps is fine.

Pdanet and easytether (or any USB tether) don't need root either but its only for laptop/PC tethering.
