Spare battery vs portable charger. Need help

Ok so I have an extended battery bc a stock battery will not work for me on the weekends, it barely makes it through a work day. Plus I'm a case'aholic, I just love buying new cases for my phone, and well the extended battery stops that. I have no issues with the size of the extended battery just want different cases. Lol. Now I need help. How many are using 2 stock batteries vs carrying a portable charger? How do you carry them around? What would you recommend?

I have 2 solar powered chargers, 1 external battery charger, 2 spare batteries.... I have a solar powered charger in my car in the event that I need to charge somewhere that doesn't have a place to plug in, but is outdoors. I carry around a spare battery with my Beats earphone pouch. I have my phone in an Otterbox so I have enough extra heft on the phone. Considering the phone gets real hot when you've almost gone through a full charge, I don't mind swapping batteries out as it allows for my phone to cool off.

Oh and for the record, I'm thinking about selling this 1800 battery (kept throwing battery error) an external charger, and a solar powered charger. I think I've found the right combination of batteries/chargers for now and need to get rid of some of the spares I have.

I have several portable chargers. The best of all is 'JustMobile Gum Pro', 4400mAh and 120 grams, charges my phone fully about two times.

I have JustMobile for three years and used it with two phones and now with my actual phone. No need to buy a spare battery for each phone ;)

I also have a solar charger (with a build-in battery) but it isn't very usefully. Often it becomes to hot because of the sun and shuts down the charging of its own battery. Li-Ion batteries has to be charged below +45C, so the so the charging control shuts down charging when the battery becomes to hot.
This is the crux: The Solar panel needs sun and when it gets sun it becomes hot, but the battery needs to be cool for charging.

But I use a solar panel (without a build-in battery). Outdoors it charges the battery of the portable charger, solar panel on the backpack, charger in the backpack. So there aren't any temperature problems for the battery :). And later (at night?) the phone can be charged with the portable charger.
The solar panel also is able to charge the phone directly. But this needs ongoing sunshine and takes its time for to charge the phone fully.

So I think it's the better way first to charges the charger with the solar panel and the charges the phone with the portable charger :)

But this method is for outdoor trips.
Most of time the JustMobile charges my phone when the phone's battery goes low in the late evening. Not outdoors ... no, when I'm sitting on the sofa :D

EDIT
Definition of solar charger:
This is a charger with a solar panel and a build-in battery.
Without this build-in battery, it is just the solar panel.
But some solar panels have a charging circuit with 5V output and a USB connector for charging the batteries of phones and portable chargers.

I carry a spare battery, use the beats pouch also to keep it. Bought the cheap thunderbolt battery only charger to keep the extra battery charged. I don't need the spare battery except at work where I don't have a safe place to charge the phone. It's not a perfect solution but it's better than having to lug around a bigger phone, a la extended battery.

I have several spare batteries. Keep one in my office desk, one in the car, one on a charging dock at home. If I carry it around, it tends to fit well into a coin pocket.

Those with multiple spare batteries are you using stock htc batteries or aftermarket batteries. I found a package deal on 2 batteries and a charger for $20. It has 9 5star reviews and no negative feedback. Im just curious on how they will last over time

I just go with spare batteries. Not expensive at all on ebay and then your never dependent on being plugged into anything.

I use a mix of factory and aftermarket batteries and they both perform about the same. Even some of the aftermarket 1800mAh batteries really only perform about on par with the factory 1620's.

Thanks for all the help. I'm probably going with a spare stock battery and charger for it. Then this summer I'll probably get the standalone charger.

I carry a solar charger in case the Republic fails ..... and there is no power for us all :) .......but like most solar chargers mine works in a pinch but is not a daily option.....I pack two extra standard batteries around in my I Beats case and manage to keep them charged whether at the home office or work office......I don't mind ......at all...... popping in a new battery......can't come to grips with an extended battery and thicker phone .....

Remember.....we are essentially caring a small computer around in our hands with HD resolution.....the luxury of the technology requires patient acceptance of the power use and power replacement ......

^ that thing looks weird lol

do we know if any other phones batteries would work? Like the thunderbolt or sensation? What is the biggest battery that will fit under the stock battery cover?

As far as I know the 1800 mah found on e bay - not much extra muscle over the stock battery but it helps a little .......

thanks. I'm wanting to buy some off amazon but the ones i want are on back order. Anyone using 1500 mAh in their rezound? I know stock is 1620 so would it be a major down grade?
