Well I don't know why I cannot get unzip the zip file, 7zip and winrar post an error in the zip file every time (used IE and firefox to dowload). Thanks anyway for your fast reply.

Ran into this problem before...found that the person had downloaded 7-zip and/or WinRar trials and they had both expired. Don't know if this is the case with you. Yes/NO/Maybe So:confused:

Solved, uninstalled 7-zip and reinstalled it rebooted (WinXP), downloaded again the file and it's good to go. I think it's was the window XP OS but after rebooting everything seems working, Thank you for all your help gbiggie.

Back in the day(last year LOL) I had deleted everything manually also...sweetest thing is there are ROMS that are already debloated. Ahhh the benefits of root:thumbup:

Flavor of the week(oh wait its only Tuesday) anyway...

Make it easy yourself everyone and close out all programs running after you download the files and begin the setup to downgrade. Update later to da guide;)

Hi Gb, I'll try this since I have not seen anything from Michael about C root yet. Before I start, would you tell me what are those 4 files (each) mb please? I want to make sure that I will get exact/correct files numbers (not corrupted/disconnected/etc...) before I install/ unzip/ them to the file/desktop/phone. Anyway, the one I get is: skin.dll (9,536 KB), VS910.dll (416KB), MS910ZVB_01.SB_01.P3018.R1003-Copy (298,146 KB), and the last LGPNST is 188,152 KB.

These should all be downloaded to your computer-not your phone;)
Skin.dll = 9.31 mb
vs910.dll = 416 kb

Then the 2 zip files are:
MS910ZVB_01.SB_01.P3018.R1003-Copy = 291.16 mb
LGPNST = 183.74 mb

Go ahead and set it up...if you have issues let me know:cool:

Those numbers are not match with mine; is that mean a problem when I downloaded them? (the only match is 416kb)

Those file sizes are from the links in the guide. Did you download all the files from the dropbox links contained within the guide:confused:
 
yes sir (I got them from the first page first post, then within the M$ word document).... Honestly, where are other sources..?? i have not tried/seen unless here by you.
Would you please to check/see them literally at kb (after you downloaded)?

I seem to be stuck with this process. I'm pretty sure I've been following the instructions to the letter, but for some reason, when I open up LGNPST, it won't detect my phone. (I'm guessing it might be related to the driver installation?)

EDIT:
Never mind; got it working. I noticed that when I connected the phone to my computer, it would give me the option of executing the autorun.exe and I decided to risk it in hopes that it would install the correct drivers. It worked! I had to switch the phone to internet connection mode and it finished installing all the drivers. ^_^
