Help How to bypass activation screens and use as wifi only?

I did a factory reset, thinking I may sell this phone. But, I think I'll keep if for awhile and use it.

It's not rooted, and I'd rather not (I'm lazy).

I see other threads that are phone specific, and not HTC Droid Incredibles.

Thanks for any tips to get past the activation screens.

I did call *228 and hang up. No luck trying that.

Check this thread, there appears so be a couple methods that work. It appears you can either change a bunch of settings and it would make the phone skip activation or just cancel out of the activation call a couple times to make it skip.

i just called multiple times and it finally let me bypass the activation. It said try later, unable to connect.

Yep, apparently you have to hang up on **228 three times and it will let you by.

is it applicable even if theres no verizon network available?..im here in the Philippines and i cant bypass the activation screen;(

Just a little curious about this...

If I did this and it worked, besides wi-fi connection, would other android apps, media player, etc, work if access to CDMA was not needed?

Everything would work except for making calls and sending texts. But you could use another VoIP provider to even accomplish those things.

Try again for at least 3 times and it will bypass that part....
