Root [Boost Mobile] Android System Eating Battery?

Is there anything I can do about that? My battery is draining rather quickly. I made it for about 12 hours today with Juice defender and using airplane mode from time to time. I checked the battery stats and it says that the android system is taking up 55% of my power. Anything I can do to alleviate that?

PS: I'm rooted, and I uninstalled all of the bloatware. I also have CWM installed.

Doesn't juice defender also constantly run in the background? The last time I had it installed my battery life was worse with it than without it so I manually turn data and sync off from the power control widget, my battery usually will last all day with my normal usage; surf the web for about an hour play a game or two 30 min to 45 min about 15-20 text messages and maybe a few pictures of the kids. The charge it is on now it has been off the charger for 14 hours and 74% of the time without a signal, I was streaming Pandora last night playing cards for at least an hour battery life is still 70%.

I'll disable JD and see if I get any better results. Thanks for the tip!

Seems to me that disabling JD and controlling data myself it more efficient. Thanks! Helped a lot! Got around 14 hours, and only down to 40%. Good stuff!
