I took a chance and downloaded as I have not had an update available for a long time.

Is this the latest? All seems to be working well. Any new features?

ATT released 2.3.6 for their version of the GS2 and it brought a horrific blue overscroll to the browser if you panned to far left or right. Other than that, I dont remember to much else.

1) Blue glow at end of page (top / bottom / right / left) during scrolling
2) Faster and more accurate GPS connection for me
3) Battery performance is better during idle time with data off
4) Voice Talk / GPS seems to close properly. Don't have that annoying issue where it runs in the background and drain the battery even after you off it.
5) If you are using TW, you can now scroll through the homescreens from last to first.
6) Some issues with reboot last time. Seems to have gone now :)

Wasn't this included in the 2.3.5 upgrade? I already have that effect with the 2.3.5 version.

A friend of mine did the upgrade and said the battery performance has drastically decreased for him (used to last 3 days, now only 1 day after the upgrade). I'm still not sure if I want to upgrade just yet?. :)

My update was from 2.3.3 straight to 2.3.6 which might explain your query. Not sure why your battery life would suffer. It got better for me. If I leave the phone for 8 hours (sleeping), I lose about 5%-10% during 2.3.3 while its only around 2%-3% with 2.3.6.

Cheers

there's also a new system power saving mode (which I dont use) . It increases battery life but reduces performance. I went from 2.3.3 to 2.3.6 so have no clue if it was included in .4 or .5

After a day of use, I can not say it has done anything bad to my battery life. All works quite well from what I have experienced.

Bring on the Ace!
