What's your up time?

I'm wondering how high other users up time is? I haven't turn my phone off for a while or let it die. My up time is 142.05 awake time 119:21. Anyone else?

I haven't got an uptime as my phone is currently switched off so I can have some peace and quiet lol.

I restart mine at least once a week. I don't know if it's necessary but I do it thinking it'll clear anything that's running in the background and free up resources.

The guy in a local store here said to reboot phones and tablets to clear apps/stuff from the memory that we don't use often. So i do reboot it once every few days. (lol it's like we are all Windows people ha ha). bye.

I try to reboot mine every few days as well ... and if I forget ... it'll get laggy and remind me!

Would've been longer, but I killed the battery laying in bed playing Angry Birds the other night. Had the phone since mid-December, and that, a random reboot, and the OTA are the only times I've seen the boot animation. Best I ever noticed on the Incredible was over 1500 hours.

The up time is misleading.

I generally turn my phone off every night and usually keep it off while I am at school or clinic. However the up time just keeps on counting up.

The only way I have seen to reset it is to let the battery die. Then after the charge it seems to start over.

Currently it tells me my up time is 248 hours. Although from 10:30pm last night to 10:30am this morning it was off.

Edit: Just did a Restart, not a power off. Upon restart the up timer did start over. I am wondering if having fastboot checked in the settings(Default setting) is what causes the timer to stay running or not reset?

Yea I normally reboot mine every day too but when my phone took the update but didn't install, I haven't shut it off yet. Lol. I'm waiting for my extra batteries to come in before I take the update lol

That would be my guess, since fastboot is basically like "hibernate" in Windows, it never really shuts down unless you pull the battery.

Me, I don't get the uptime you guys do, because I have two batteries and swap them every 36 hours or so. I never plug my phone in. One battery's in the phone and one's in the wall charger at all times, and I swap them when the one in the phone goes dead. That way I always have a fresh battery, and my phone gets rebooted regularly.

interesting. did not know it was basically like hibernate

up time 141:59, awake time 81:28

mine doesn't get laggy, so i don't reboot it. once read an article stating the longer it's up, the better it actually acts (rather than laggier)

who knows if that's true. my HTC evo view tab is on 194:17 up and 28:36 awake. not bad.

My record was 367:18. Although I have been rebooting more lately since that seems to be the only way to get the POS MHS to operate somewhat reliably.

Up: 306:31:15
Awake: 166:06:25
Usually get 14-16 hours normal data, voice, text usuage before needing a charge (Stock Battery).

You got 1500 on the incredible! jeez mine would go about a week and reboot itself. Shorter if I was using gps and data, or streaming audio while charging.

The boss was complaining her Yahoo mail isn't showing the latest emails lately. So i came over to the genius bar (kitchen island), fumbled around with her phone, did a manual sync, looked at the settings, did a manual sync again to watch the circular arrows spin like an OCD funtime or if i get lucky. Didn't work. It can send out new emails just fine. Then I checked the uptime and it was 1322 hours!!! That's 55 days!! That was like since the last OTA update or something. If i was a Microsoft tech support guy i could have saved 10 minutes and said "Just reboot it!!" from the couch without looking at the phone!! Yeah, the reboot solved the problem and her Yahoo mail is happily working again now. bye :D

Did you tell your boss that her up-time was too upped up?

She thought the phone is just a phone and doesn't need a reboot!! I'm actually surprised her Rezound still works after all this time other than the Yahoo mail part.
