[Verizon] HELP! Changing Simm Card On Rooted Device???

I changed cards and it made a few calls and then it stopped. Now it will go to internet but incoming calls go straight to voice mail and I cannot call out.

Well after getting to a 3rd tier tech we did more battery & Sim pulls and finally he had me hold the power button down for 10+ second it no battery or card in place. Upon boot all was well. Still is.

However my phone no longer is pictured on MyVerizon. See attached.

He had you hold the power button down with no battery or SIM card in the phone? What was that supposed to do? Or did I misread your post?

As far as MyVerizon, that will eventually update. I think mine looked like that for a whole week after I got my GNex and again when I changed SIM cards.

Holding down the power button will dump something. I used to do it to PC's. I am having memory issues as to the Sim card being in or out now. Ugh!

Didn't think root mattered at all with sim cards but I guess it does. If I were you I would wipe everything and start over, if you want to stick with stock. Or try installing a new rom.

Well I need to clarify because when I was posting (in panic), I was on hold with the phone tech because the new simm had my device not authenticating. I was kind of afraid of getting busted on the rooted thing.
It did make a call or two but then gave errors saying they could not authenticate.
So I started wondering if a new simm required un-root then re-root and if the phone tech could tell the deal. Thus my panic.
I was asked once to go to Settings/About Phone/ and check for updates. Heh, I had to act like it was there and say I tried it and my phone is up to date.

We did the batt pulls a few times as he monitored things, put me on hold to make changes and reset and the like on his end.
The only thing we did different in the end was to press & hold the power button in with no battery. I think the Simm card may have been in the phone, not sure now, Sorry? Upon boot all was well.

Pressing and holding the power button in with the power disconnected is common to working with PC's and I believe it may insure anything that is volatile in the system is taken care of, or its draining any residual charge in any capacitors or circuitry.
