Verizon and HTC are both exhibiting at CeBit but I believe the conference has a European focus.
I was looking on the CeBit website and couldn't find either companies. Do you think you could link me to where it says they are exhibiting?

I did see Vodafone and they have a speaker at the event (the segment title for the speaker doesn't really sound like it has much to do with releasing new product though)

Edit: Ok nevermind. After some searching, I found Verizon Deutschland.. so I'm assuming no US announcements. Couldn't find HTC though.

Yep, go here: Exhibitors + Products - About CeBIT - CeBIT and search for verizon and htc. You will see the booth number for their location.

Ya, i searched Verizon earlier to find the Deustchland one, but HTC wouldn't work (I'm assuming the wording is too short).

However, i did a google search and found this: Google Translate (Site was in German so i ran it through the translator)
Looks like HTC is just going to show the same phones that were shown at MWC

I have been looking at this forum for a while and am anxiously waiting to get the incredible. My thought and speculation (not that it means very much) would NOT be a release of the Incredible at CTIA. Who outside a small number of people follow geeky conferences like CTIA? A better marketing strategy would be release on March 18th . . . why you ask? The start of NCAA March Madness Basketball tournament with plenty of advertising space and a captive audience of mostly men (as you remember a recent study shows that most Android users are men). It would just make the most sense, but that is assuming Verizon does anything that makes sense. Here's to me hoping for the earliest release! BB

hehehe, like the Motorola Devour and the Superbowl??

I guess it's a possibility, but we will have to wait and see. CTIA is still the most likely date and event where it will be released as of now.

I've been following the thread for quite some time as well and I really like the idea of releasing the Incredible during NCAA tournament. I'm a big sports fan but I must admit this had not occurred to me. It is a perfect time to drill into everyone's head how "incredible" the new phones are (awful pun I know).

Also, thank you all for your diligent detective work, some of you may want to consider career changes for something involving investigation!! You have made waiting to finally get ride of my BB Curve 8330 tolerable.

Hmm... you mean how the Droid was advertised during the World Series... ;)

I like your thinking.

i just thought the more confirmation of the N1 being released maybe the Incredible will be launched too.. my bad.

oh Geez, they could get Dick Vitale announcing the launch and the phone as a Diaper Dandy! Not the worst speculation. The Incredible is better for social networking those whipper snappers in college like so much.

i dont understand how this thread has turned into a n1 thread.......

I can speak for those that find it pertinent if in fact Verizon plans on launching the Incredible at the same time. There's also quite a few folks that are deciding between the two phones, and timing may be a factor.

With no real news on the Incredible today, and the theory that there will be a simultaneous launch, it is the only thing to go on at this point.

the berry scoop link? I didn't see THAT link. It was the only article I've found saying VZW employees are being told. My bad.

however, I don't doubt it was already posted. Maybe I need to go back and read all 44 pages :(

your berryscoop post was a new one. First time I had seen anything about the Verizon employees being notified, and I have watched this board like a hawk all day

but the whole thing with the March 23rd release date has been like re-stated over and over through number links. Maybe that berryscoop one is new tho haha idk i get mixed up. All i see is March 23rd Nexus One and just assume its the same.

no no you're right. The fact there is this many posts on what I just posted is whack lol. I just posted it because I thought it added more of a confirmation. My bad. We get the idea. 23rd, likely for the N1. Someone else post something good lol

Hopefully on March 23 we will be confused as to which phone to choose!

i had mentioned that right around the NFL superbowl and thought it was a great idea glad to see someone bring it up and now more people to enjoy the theory. I think it is a very sound idea

I totally agree given the history of the Droid and Devour launches, what makes the Incredible and NCAA basketball combination so much more appealing is that instead of ONE event, the tournament is 2+ weeks of sporting goodness with cheaper advertising space than either the Superbowl or World Series. They will be hitting their target audience and able to do so multiple times throughout the tournament. That being said, that doesn't mean they need to introduce the Incredible at the beginning of the tournament, but could align the advertising with the elite 8, final 4, and championship game which would lead to a later release date than my (wishful thinking) guess of March 18th. . . .only time will tell! BB

Hopefully i get above a 2150 on the SAT'S lol.....then i can start worrying more about phones even though i already am and starting to procrastinate arggg DAMN YOU HTC INCREDIBLE hahaha

Yea, once the SAT'S are done and hopefully i do well, all about phones from there on.......and Battlefield Bad Company 2

Yea i just totally went off topic derrr

Anyhow...what is the gaming capability of the HTC Incredible and other high-end android devices. Like as of now, the Iphone 3GS is still the king and gets higher FPS. Is it due to like its seperate powervm sgv GPU chip or whatever its called??

You know what.. that actually does make alot of sense. Like the Devour and Superbowl. I'm a huge sports fan and it never came to my mind that it would be a great channel to sports fans and college students that, other then March Madness where they're following their school, would not watch sports otherwise. Maybe VZW will announce the Incredible during that time, then have demo units at CTIA - along with the "announcement" that the VZW version of the N1 will be on sale.

I believe that particular link you posted has not been posted in this forum.
