Help Transferring pictures from computer to phone

I have a number of pictures on the hard drive of my computer and want to transfer them to the gallery on my phone. It may seem obvious but I can't find how to do this. Please help. I'm new to this game

Welcome to the Android forums!
It's really easy. Just conect the phone to PC in mass storage mode and copy the pictures to any folder on SD card. On next start (in rare cases after phone reboot) Gallery will scan SD card and shows your pictures.

As above, or:

• Via Bluetooth- (downloads folder)
• Take the SD card out and put it in your PC's card reader if available and copy the pics to whatever folder you want
• Extreme case...just email them to yourself, and open the mail on your phone.

If you can't do it now...I'd give up!!

Might also be worth installing a decent file explorer from the market. I use Androzip, this allows you to access the OS file structure and move pics etc, create new folders and more.
