Help Help with Note

Not sure what else to title the thread, but I have some things that I would like my Note to be able to do and since I am so new to Android I don't know if it's a setting I missed, or if I need an app or widget.

This is my first Android phone (have had an iPhone since the day the 3g came out, yes I waited in line overnight to get it). Pre-orderd the Note through Best Buy to take advantage of their deals.

Ok, what I would like the Note to do is this. On sent emails I would like it to make a notification sound (got used to this on the iPhone and like to hear it go out so I don't have to open the phone to check it).

I would like the calender to be on the Notifications page, well at least the current days calender displayed on it. That way I can just swipe down and see any appointments I have for the day. If anyone can point me in the right direction on how to accomplish these I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, please feel free to add what you are trying to make your Note do and can't figure out and maybe someone else knows and will chime in.

I've been an old time iPhone guy since the inital released--I moved to Android awhile back when I bought my Nexus in the UK. As far as I know, I haven't been able to make the sent mail sound occur.

I would like the calender to be on the Notifications page, well at least the current days calender displayed on it. That way I can just swipe down and see any appointments I have for the day. If anyone can point me in the right direction on how to accomplish these I would greatly appreciate it.

I use the Calendar widget on the panel screen to show all my meetings for the particular day.

Dont worry about sending emails. the moment you hit send you can close the app. The sending will happen in the background without fail and you will see a sent confirmation in the notification bar on the top.
Regarding the calendar, the default touchwiz launcher has a beautiful S Cal widget. Shows you all the events (including from facebook and Google plus) of the month. Its way better than the iphones cal. You can have this widget as one of your home screen.
The SPB Shell 3D launcher also has a great calendar widget. shows all events for the week.

I am still searching for a way to get sent mail notification sounds.

The calender I was trying to get on my notifications bar, but it is very easy to put it on the next home screen and swipe sideways instead of up and down, thanks.

Silly as it sounds, how can I trace a pic with the s-pen and then delete the original picture. I want to make an outline of a pic for a logo.
