Help how do I know which apps need an upgrade?

I have a Huawei mercury on the cricket network. I'm very pleased with it. My only gripe is I keep getting notifications saying some of my apps need an upgrade. But when I go to my market it only shows me 2 categories. My apps "installed" and apps "not installed" do how do I know which ones need an upgrade?

It's probably some pre-installed apps that are causing the update alerts. I have the update available notification turned off so I'm not annoyed by apps I don't even use.

To turn off the "Update Available" notification, go to the Market > Settings and there should be an option there to turn off the notification.

If you go to the market and press the menu button, you should see "my apps" as one of the options. Press that and it will show a list of which apps can be updated. That doesn't necessarily mean you have to update them though. I usually read the "what's new" section and only update if I see a good reason to. Occasionally an app will force you to update, though, by not letting you use the old version anymore.

This I have done. But NONE of my apps say they need an update.

I say again that it's some pre-installed app. I had this same problem on my phone. I'd get a notification of "Updates Available". I'd go to the Market > My Apps and NONE of the apps in that list would say Update. Also, no pre-installed apps show in the list of My Apps on the Market.

I just looked, and Adobe Flash, Google Maps, and YouTube all had updates available on mine (all pre installed apps). The only other thing I could think of would be to go to manage applications and clear cache and data from the Market app.

Gmash - I apologize. You are right, they do show up :)

My phone came with YP Mobile and Words with Friends Free preinstalled. Neither of them show up in the My Apps section for me though which is what caused my terribly misguided argument :(

No need to apologize, my Ascend was the same way, which sucked until I went to CM7, especially the old YouTube app they had on that phone. I'm just trying to figure out why this lady can't see any updates in her "my apps" section. Weird.
