Help Random sound...help

I keep getting this random sound from my GN. I cant find the sound anywhere and there are no notifications at all after hearing it. I can only describe it as a sort of descending three tone sound. I realize this is vague but does anyone have any clue what Im talking about?

It's not a low sound. It happens randomly, and there is no notification for it.

Plays once and no sign of what caused it.

Turn NFC off and see if it still happens. If that solves it then your phone is sensing an RFID chip in something near.

Ah, sorry, I had a strange repeating alarm on mine which stopped when I pulled the Notification Drawer down, but it's obviously not the same thing.

I'd bet on it being the NFC sound too, have seen a few people report the issue when having their phone too close to a "paypass" credit/debit card.

Ah, I actually had heard that sound a couple of times when I think about it. It was my Oyster card .

Sorry to necro this post guys, but this thread helped me solve this issue for me.

As soon as someone said NFC, I realized there was an rfid card on my desk under a sheet of paper, right where I leave the phone whenever I hear that noise.

To anyone who comes across this, if you're experiencing the noise mentioned above, check if you're putting a transmitter near the phone.
