Is Verizon testing 4G in my area?

We don't have 4G yet where I live, but today for about an hour I did have 4G. I tested the speed and it was around 10x faster than my normal 3G connection.

Should I be looking forward to 4G soon?

Congrats, if this is the case! I'd probably not even realize this in my area as I keep 4G shut off when I'm home as a way of conserving battery.

Can't wait until I make the same discovery :)

Maybe out was solar flares? I saw 4g and tested with faster speeds than anything else in my area. I posted screenshots on my twitter, same username.

This was Feb 28 Ocean Pines and than later in Ocean City MD.

Nothing today though :(

I should have did IP check to see who owned it and if maybe it was something Ramses that showed up add a fluke or due to my phone info tweaks..

My husband and i had it about 3:00pm yesterday in Salisbury, MD but as we headed towards Hebron it dropped back down to 3G

Wonder if we were just getting signal from Salisbury, then. The speeds were all over the place and nitty typical of 4G in Baltimore, etc (same area had varying speeds)...

I've repeatedly switched over to 4G in Salisbury - but only on the north end and moving toward the south end it goes away. Ocean City, MD is now live with LTE according to Verizon's LTE website/coverage tool. Hopefully Salisbury, Pocomoke, and Chincoteague,VA will see it next..

androidjames... THANKS!

I had to mess with my radio settings (or maybe it was the reboot) but my 4G is on now.

I kept checking the online coverage page but only saw a blank "coming soon" and Bmore and Hagerstown, and didn't expect the address thing to do anything different than when I checed it last month.

Wrong.

You're right, it's on, and it's plenty fast. I posted a speed test snapshot on my twitter @marleyinoc That's the highest speed but even the average of my tests, around 10/10 without doing the math is pretty amazing.

The upload makes my speakers buzz.

Yup I know have 4G in Salisbury, MD with speeds consistently at 30 mbps. I've had it all day so I think that it is live for good.
