Help Problem with Email Signature

I am seem to be having a problem with the email signature on my Samsung Galaxy S II (SGH-I777, AT&T, Android Version 2.3.6). When I send an email using the stock email app, the recipient receives the message with a HUGE signature at the bottom of the message. It's like in 90 pt. type. The text in the body of the email is normal...it's just the signature section that's out of whack. Kind of embarrassing when sending emails to clients.

Has anyone else experienced this issue...and if so, any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thank you!

Hello and welcome to Android Forums! :)

I haven't seen that. Does this happen to every email that you send or just to a specific recipient? It is my understanding that email from the default mail client is sent in plain text format.

As a simple solution for now, you can turn the signature off.

Unfortunately I need the signature as I have some issues with my corporate email conflicting with Entourage. So I have some rules set up based on reading my signature. But trust me, I would have done this in a heartbeat if I wasn't tied to Entourage so thank you!

It doesn't appear to happen on ALL of my emails but a good percentage of them. And I haven't been able to determine a trend as to who/when it occurs.

You post gave me an idea. Is the signature from your company? For example did you download it or copy it from an external source as opposed to entering it in its entirety from your device's screen?

Unfortunately no...I'm using the stock signature message that came on the phone: Sent from my Samsung smartphone on AT&T

Got it. I checked and the signature is html formatted with embedded data. I'd delete the entire signature line in account settings and reenter it. If that doesn't work, I'd send the phone an email with the text formatted the way I want it and copy into the signatur line.

I'll definitely give this a shot...crossing my fingers! Thank you so much for your help!
