Lets hope not!

He hasn't posted since last night.. but i'm going to go with hes still at work and just hasn't had time:)

It also could be that he can't tell us anything else. It would be pretty easy to track him down if HTC wanted to, seeing that his name is plastered all over this thread. I doubt we will hear much from him anymore, maybe a couple of "its coming soon and it is awesome" but these companies try to make sure things aren't leaked.

SO, now the Nexus One is delayed until April and the Incredible is coming in May??!!?? These phones better be able to tap into some alien network and call UFO's to my exact location, because I am waiting a long time for a freaking phone. I wish Verizon would hurry up with something new.

^ Thank you for your work. I also have contacted an acquaintance I know that works for VZW, however have not recieved a response. :(

My brother worked as the Verizon wireless zone GM for 8 years here in Vermont. He has his feelers out and the WZ reps know nothing...and they would tell him if they did...he is still good friends with the owner.

Figured it'd be worth a try, especially if the employees were being informed about the N1 and what to say to customers asking for it, etc. (I think someone said this earlier, or to that effect?)

its all worth it...i have him pushing up the food chain....if he hears anything i will be sure to post it here.

This is a long shot but I e-mailed VZW about my new every 2 upgrade. I came right out with the Incredible and asked about all this *hit haha. I'll let you know what response I get. If it is anything good and or new I will gladly forward the official e-mail to anyone who wants it. I doubt they will say anything new, but with each new VZW rep saying little bits and pieces, it can't hurt.

Plus I was bored lol.

Newsradio wasn't totally wrong. I am not here to defend him. He talked about a friendstream I think and the below photo come from flickr in Jan from a person taking photos with Bravo. I could be way off here.

He also said that the HTC Incredible does not exist and that there will never be a phone that comes out that is called the Incredible. So...

My dad used to say "even a blind hog finds an acorn once in awhile." What that means is that even someone who is full of it and feeding us a bunch of false information may get a lucky guess and be right once in awhile. However, the information given us was heavily weighed against his credibility.

Now...moving on.

Nothing monumental to announce here, but I just got off the phone with an acquaintance that is a rep for Verizon. In this thread, the statement was made that Verizon reps probably don't know much more than us at this point, but at the same time they may know more before we do. Here's what he had to say. . . . .
Due to the multitouch bug (among others) with the Nexus 1, Verizon has delayed the release until next month, possible the end of this month. (I know this has happened before with other releases through Verizon, so I tend to believe there's some truth to his statement. Verizon is well known for delaying releases until all known bugs have been worked out.)
He also told me that I will be able to buy the Nexus 1 through Verizon and they will offer support for the phone.
Unfortunately, as far as the Incredible is concerned, he has only heard of it, but been told absolutely nothing from Verizon.
He asked me to let him know if I hear more about either phone and he said he would call me the moment he knows anything more.
Take it with a grain of salt, but here's hoping he comes through for me (us). He also told me that once he receives any feedback from Verizon's testers, he'll fill me in and advise me one way or another.
At the very least, hopefully I planted a little bug in his ear and maybe he can squeeze some info from his supervisors, reps, etc.

How could there be a bug with multitouch if HTC took if from Apple? HAHA:)

BTW, I am blocking my last name out lol, sorry.

Over 2630 posts and I wonder how many are actually about the Incredible, and not about things like some mystery guy, newsradio, or apple lawsuits?

Wait where is everyone getting this information of all these phones now getting delayed??

I heard someone post the Incredible was coming out in March because thats what a VZW rep told him but who said anything about Nexus One coming in April now?

Then again, we never had any real confirmed dates of when the phones would be released except for that March 23rd from the google insider which seems a lot more credible than all these random sayings.

Feel free to go back and count. Be sure and add your last post in that total.

Back OT - I don't think the Apple lawsuit will affect anything already in the pipe or even anything this year. It would be nice if we had some confirmation that VZW was testing the Incredible at the moment, but so far it looks like it is still in HTC's hands.

Judging by the response I received, VZW is testing several new devices. If the Incredible is to launch soon then I am sure they are testing it.

That was part of the response.

Not saying Leo Laporte couldn't be wrong, but he also said March 23. He probably has better inside moles than we do, and we keep hearing the 23rd, so I am pretty confident that it will be released in a conference similar to the way the N1 was released for T-Mobile, and hopefully will be brought into Verizon stores shortly thereafter.

Fixed;)

Okay, I just got a message on a social networking site from a very Incredible source. He/she reports that the Incredible will be available end of April, early May. I trust this source a little more than others. So, that Verizon rep, who say May, probably isn't too far off. Which makes me sad!

I thought Google was still considering the idea of fixing the multi touch problem with an OTA update? Not saying youre wrong by any means, but am I missing something? Droid's multitouch not the same as Nexus One's (and there's a reason for that) | Android Central

Read the above post from kevinbakon.

Well atleast he said the end of this month which still means it can come as planned March 23rd

Anyways, multitouch issue is software based so it should be a quick fix. I think thats why google went with T-mobile as their first carrier. Just use them as a guinea pig and fix out and find out the kinks with the phone. Then release it to other carriers like Verizon :D

Shame though that the rep didn't know anything bout the Incredible. Grrrr just release the phone or do some advertising so they sell more :)

Is the nexus 1 delay confirmed? Where is this information coming from?
lol it's not confirmed, nothing is really confirmed until we officially hear it from them ourselves.

He got the information from a rep he messaged, but the rep still states end of this month or early next money which would probably put it on track still for the march 23rd release date.

Also, multitouch bug can easily be cure with software hehe

Ya I didn't really mean confirmed - more from a credible source. And my bad, I didn't read his post carefully enough. I thought that he just threw the nexus 1 delay out there and that it was big news or something. I didn't realize that all of this, including the nexus 1 delay, was coming from his VZW rep.
