Root [ROM] Froyocream Sandwich v2.0 released: 3/29

Its cool if we can't. I just remembered hearing minus say we could edit it. But anyways great job again guys. Ziggy, just wanted to let u know that every once in a while I'll rock thunder rom! Lol

he was probably talking about cm7...

and thanks man, glad to hear someone likes it lol :p

Ziggy, Mob, and anyone else who may have tried this.

I see that there is a bluetooth issue with this rom. I would very much like to take the jump from cm7 reloaded to get the hdmi feature back, the reason being is that i use a ps3 controller via bluetooth with my emulators to play games with and in doing so it would be awesome to have the hdmi out so i can play them on my lcd tv.
So my questions are.
1. Will my emulators run on this rom like they do with my previous one.
2. Will my sixaxis operate accordingly with this rom with it being a froyo version, and if so what would i need to do before hand to running sixaxis in order to not have the bluetooth/data lock up happen. Just do not want to have issues losing connection to my ps3 controller.
And finally....
3. Does it seem reasonably logical that running Hdmi to tv with sixaxis and an emulator going on this rom all at once possible, without having to many issues (bluetooth drops, force closures, system hang ups, etc, etc).
oh i will also be using nofrills, or another overclock utility and be running at around 1.4gz, and be plugged to the charger also.

Sorry about the questions but i am sure others may be thinking about this as well and who better to ask then you two fellers and this thread.

This seems to be a kick-ass rom and i want to give it a go but would like to make sure that this could be very possible before doing the switch.

Thanks for the hard work Ziggy and Mob.

Also thanks to anyone who answers these questions.

One other thing,
In minus's video for version 1.3 he mentions that we need cwm V5.0.2.6
I did not see this mentioned in the first post.
I have cwm V5.0.2.3 so will this version work as well?

Thanks,
JordyG

I'll answer your questions, I had tried the ROM but not extensively. I like it.

1. Most emulators will run as they need at least version 1.5 or 1.6 (I checked it up and I was right, Specially DroidEmuLite)

2. Yes, the SixAxis Controller App will work on the Froyo ROM, I have not tested it but I see it it is usable (https://market.android.com/details?...udios.sixaxiscontroller&feature=search_result)

3. That is what I used to do on my PSP-2000 using the component video cables to hook my PSP on the big screen, I never thought I could use it like that and I am a CM7 user myself currently. Overclocking with 3rd party tools is most likely will work as the kernels used in this ROM already granted overclocked speeds, it is the app to find the correct speeds.

PS: I would hold on to flashing to this ROM, I hear good things are coming ;)

Thanks MrC,

i was fairly sure it would work accordingly. Its the bluetooth/data issue that had me wondering a little, but if i have the MT plugged to the charger there shouldnt be any lockup if i have the phone set to no sleep while plugged in right (correct me if im wrong)?

JordyG.

There is two terms of data here. 3G will work but honestly it drops more often in this ROM than on CM7, I told Mobs and Ziggy about it and they will fix it on the next update, they are more happy to fix anything. And why would you run data in the background? It may slow some of the CPU resources. If I was you, I would turn off data and use BT when playing games on the device. And Wifi should be on as long as the screen is on at least under any Wifi Sleep Policy, I have no problem with WiFi on the background. You are good to go :)

you really cant without getting alot of errors upon recompiling... (we accidentally got random images in the framework-res.apk) what would you like it to say? is it something that i can change for everyone or is it personal?

Can you just make it say VM or Virgin Mobile, either in tiny font?

One welcome addition with Froyocream that Minimal Triumph doesn't have , at least for me, is the reboot and recovery selection particularly the recovery I no longer have to be a contortionist to bring up CWM. Thanks.:)

Ouch, some phones are best on other forums, LOL. Android Forums is the place to be :)

Great Job tho :)

Yea AF is the place to be... too bad the MT4GS forum here has pretty much literally no activity... It's all on XDA...

But at least I still have the MT community here... well and the FG...

yup :D they all love my rom :o the optimus slider community is almost begging for development lol

It's kinda funny. People at other forums seem to think that they are the only forum... Like people who have an MT and are on XDA tend to stay there even though there is more activity here...

I just ask to him because i readed his post on thered "how to port rom" on ideos x6 forum on xda

That's cool ziggy does know a bit more then i do :)

lmao i was like that... before i used to just visit the other forums... joining AndroidCentral wasn't that bad (theres more perks) but it is funner here :)

Yeah I understand, we join the nest and stay within a community. I plan to stay here for a long time, even when the Triumph dies off. Hopefully the next phone is somewhere on this forum and if I want, I can develop my own ROMs with enough experience and understanding of programming, I only have little experience. Anyways, point is where we began, we don't leave. We do not have a united Forums for android users, we are everywhere :)

When I had the OV I was everywhere... Like I seriously couldn't tell you what forum was the most active... lol. Anyways I'm gonna stop derailing the thread. :D
