bored with infuse

Hi folks, I have owned my infuse for about a year and I love it. finally got netflicks on it. Still trying to get it to sync to kies with no luck. but just looking for some ideas to spice up the infuse, I know just enough to get into trouble on phone and computers. I am a geek want to be. would love any suggestions, I don't know if i am ready for the ROM change i think i would really screw up my phone. I have learned so much from this forum, thanks so much all you guys are great, Looking forward to all your suggestions.

Probably not one that can help because I haven't modified the phone software, or even rooted the phone. Rooting may be the way to go to start with giving you more options in using the phone.

It does what I need it to do, and a lot more. This is my first smartphone, my previous phone was basically just that, a phone, so this is like night and day. I can do so much more just by adding a few apps.

What do you do with your phone now? What do you want to do? I use mine for calls, obviously, but I have travel and location related apps, weather, I can keep track of hurricanes, read books, listen to the radio via Internet radio apps, watch movies, take pictures and video, I can look up anything on the web, play games like solitaire, chess, and word puzzles, check prices and get info on products in the store, buy stuff if I wanted (I don't typically), etc. Those are things I do fairly regularly. There are many other apps I tried and didn't keep. Just some thoughts.
 
Thanks for the suggestions my phone is rooted. I really want to try the new ROM but to chicken. I guess I am looking for some good apps. I wish I could get my phone to sync so I have a backup. Do you know of any good apps for productivity and tools
 
I am not a productivity type of user, so I wouldn't be much help. I do have ASTRO and Lookout installed. I install things like Weatherbug, INRIX, GasBuddy, Hurricane Hound, Aldiko (book reader), Solitaire, Netflix, an Internet radio app or two, and others. I don't even have a live wallpaper running.
 
so you're bored with it? i mean,, you could change roms or something, but ehrn you do that and you find something you like, it's pretty much gonna be the same thing. maybe you'll get better battery life, a little faster speed, a few gimmicks, but it'll still do all the same things in the end.
 
Not a stupid question at all. There are so many apps it makes sense to get ideas and recommendations. Search the web for things like best android apps, etc. You might get varying opinions, but you may also find references to the top apps to have on your phone, or must haves. There is a website called latestandroidapps.net you could take a look at. If there was a specific concern you wanted to address that might make it easier for people here to recommend a specific app.

I said that too.... im on froyo right now and cant do anything about it because it has the usb controller broken. When i trade mine in for another when i get a note, ill be off of stock right away lol its sucks.

Yeah, I've seen you over at the xda forums. It's an awesome place for everything android.

Just be aware that there are no good rom's yet for the note. They are buggy, and some things won't work yet. Be patient with the note.
