that pretty much sums it up

once again, BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED, S-OFF, NO ROOT???

HELP!

Moved to the root section, so other root users can help. :)

But sounds like you still need to flash a recovery and superuser.

Clockwork recovery can be found here:
http://clockworkmod.com/rommanager

And superuser can be found here:

Sorry I don't know enough about your phone to tell you the exact procedure. But usually if there isn't a one click root solution available:
Clockwork recovery would be installed via adb (android debug bridge) then superuser would be installed from clockwork recovery.

This may also point you n the right direction:

My thoughts exactly, and in that order.

Clockwork recovery can be found here:
ClockworkMod ROM Manager - Recoveries
Make sure you get the one for "HTC Wildfire S CDMA" assuming you have a MarvelC/A510c (no sim card).

And superuser can be found here:
The one I use which can be installed from Android Market/Play: Superuser by ChainsDD

True, using the following command from cmd prompt:
>fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvelc.img

If no sim, you have a MarvelC/A510c

I have a Metro WFS also and here's what I did...

You can try this guide for rooting - [TUTORIAL][ROOT] How to root your HTC Wildfire S? - xda-developers

Though, instead of using their custom recovery, I used Download CWM_Recovery_5.0.2.6.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way - Clockworkmod. Which is easier, all you have to do is download the file and then unzip it on your desktop and run the recovery.bat, while your phone is connected to PC through USB, charge only, and debugging on. It does the rest for you.

Then you can move onto step 2 from that guide. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the post
Also brand new to boot loading and rooting phones
But like to do research on any projects before I begin
This info helps slot with which order to proceed.
Already know about clock work mod
If any one has more detailed instructions from step 1
To finish for dummies.... Please post it to me
Would like to prevent error from ignorance on my part
If possible..... Lol
