Root Flashing a Radio

Hey guys. been looking at new roms lately and noticed CoreDroid. I wanna give it a shot. But i also want it running its best. I noticed on the forums over on XDA the best radio to run with this rom is [RADIO]20.2804.30.085AU_3805.04.03.22_M - taken from the Offical WWE OTA - xda-developers

I am really nervous about flashing a radio because
1. I have never flashed a radio
2. I heard this is the easiest way to brick a device

So i have a couple questions to ask before flashing this thing. If someone could please help me out.

1. If i do a nan backup and notice the radio is actually worse/no signal can i do a restore of that backup and will my radio be back to the one i originally had?

2. I noticed you need radio s-off to flash a radio. What is that? Is that the same s-off i did to unlock/root my device?!

3. Is it even worth flashing a radio? I live in a small town were service is everything. I already have bad enough service so i wanna try everything to get the best service that my phone can get.

Thanks to anyone that can help me with this ;)

That isn't an Incredible 2 radio. Don't even think about flashing it. The latest Incredible 2 radio has 1111 at the end of the version number. The other radios are 622 and 722. You can switch between them by flashing in hboot but I see no point in downgrading the radio.

Thanks guys, so much.. *deletes the bookmarked thread*

Then i take it the CoreDroid rom is for the Incredible S also. I searched their site and have seen nothing about the Incredible 2

Sorry if I scared you earlier. It wont brick your phone. You can flash the right one over it if you screw up. Just a pain is all it is.

No. NANDs don't back up radios, and flashing ROMs doesn't change them either

Hopefully. You didn't use the HTC unlock tool did you?

Results may vary. Chances are it wont hurt. Bet on it helping even if it is in ways you can't tell (battery/signal strength)
