The Disclaimer: It's no ones fault but YOUR own if you brick, brake, destroy your phone, with that said now we can move on. Make a backup then do the 4 wipes data factory reset, cache partition, dalvik cache in advanced, & format your system in mounts & storage, Then install the rom, once the rom installs right after flash the custom Gapps I made for this rom.

This theme is for the ladies, I originally made it for my wife & she loves the intense pink in this theme. I added some apps Gmail(themed), Eclipse Launcher 2 (themed), & Youtube, Facebook (Themed), Adobe Flash Player, Epic Pink Twitter.

Extra's: MIUI Notification Tones, Ring Tones, Alarm Tones, Some Custom Ringtones, More fonts, Sound Fix Added, 1% Battery Mod (Thanks Mantera)

I have a custom Gapps to with this rom that has the new Google Playstore, & Finishes the theming.

Special Thanks to Marc12868 for the theming help, Mantera For helping me with a new 1% Battery mod, (Your the Man), Ziggy46 for APK Tool help,& of course the CM7 Development team you guys are awesome keep up the excellent work.

You should consider renaming your thread to [THEME][MOD] GAPPS->CM7 PINK THEME. That way new users arent confused about your post, and confusing it with the ACTUAL [ROM]CM7...

This will help to ensure the community can choose your MOD instead of choosing it because they think its a ROM. You should also give credit to CyanogenMod team in your post.

EDIT: ALSO FORMATTING the system partition IS NOT a standard or common requirement. Doing so may cause issues unexpectedly...

Triple wipe STANDARD is Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe cache, and Wipe dalvik.

Wipe data/factory reset will wipe the /system partition. So basically you are doing the same thing twice, which is redundant and shouldn't be necessary.

I would agree that calling some of these you have done a [THEME] is more fitting, and could potentially cause less confusion. You are themeing the ROM, not actually making a different version. But call it whatever you want. When they get added into the All Things Root Guide, they will go under themes.

Well I always do the 4 wipes just to be safe, but I'll edit the posts to be more accurate. I'll change the names of them but it's not a mod their themed roms with Bionic themes & Droid X2, I wasn't sure what to name them as I didn't build the rom just themed all through the apps & framework-res.apk, lots of PNG'a lol, so would a better name be (THEME)EPIC PINK CM7 or (THEMED ROM)EPIC PINK CM7 ?

Yeah, I understand it isn't a mod, but it is a themed version of a ROM, not a different ROM in itself. Btw, I was just trying to be helpful, not tell you how you have to do anything. :) It's cool to see people doing some theme work again. If you want to call it [Themed ROM] that is fine, I just listed it as [Theme] CM7 EPIC PINK in the All Things Root Guide.

Now if you were adding stuff to the ROM besides a theme, I would consider that a separate ROM. But it is always good to give credit to the folks who have done work that you base things off of. :D

Wipe data/factory reset does just as it says, it wipes /data. It removes all user data from the phone (not internal storage or SD) so that you can boot to a clean install of the current ROM. The /system partition is not touched. Also, formatting your /system partition manually would be redundant because all good ROMs have the updater-script wipe /system automatically.

edit: If this is just a themed version of CM7 and you have made no other modifications, it might be a better idea to just make it flashable zip containing all the themed files instead of a whole new ROM. I think more people would be inclined to flash a zip over their current CM7 ROM rather than flash a whole new one.

1. You are partially correct. Wipe data/factory reset does not wipe the /system. It does wipe /data /cache /sd-ext and /sdcard/.android_secure (I mixed up the cache and system partitions. sorry). You still want to wipe /system, because updater scripts do not always do a complete wipe they will overwrite the old one replacing most everything, but sometimes that means stuff is left in that will mess things up.

2. Since he is themeing the Framework-res.apk, YOU DO NOT want to flash that over one from a different build. It is build specific and can cause major issues if you try to use it on one from a different build. Doing it as the whole ROM is probably the best way to do it (I don't think a theme chooser theme will edit all the stuff that needs edited for this theme).

In my experience, I have never had nor heard of clockwork not formatting /system correctly when told to do so by the updater script. On my own or with any of the ROMs I have released. The script runs the same command that is used in the menu to manually wipe /system. Have you seen this happen personally?

Appending a "for build # only" would solve that problem. Plus, a 10mb zip is easier to manage (for the themer and end-user) than a 133mb zip. Just a personal opinion.

As for the theme, I think it looks great. If I didn't have a Y chromosome I would be all over that.

That would work and is a good idea (It's what mantera and others did for some build specific mods in the past). I still think some people will try to flash it and come around asking for help after they did so. Either way it is up to Jaay. ;)

Well it's updated is all the way themed out, & thanks to Mantera this rom has 1 % battey mod. I've some goodies as well. :D

This is Jaay Dogg trying to post via my wife's Triumph, VM has my phone throttled so uploading takes forever, I've got an updated gapps for this rom but can't post it with my wife's account yet gotta make the minimum post requirement first.
