Root Turtle esteem

My esteem got so slow to the point i was going to get the connect. it never happen to me and my,4g is not that great where i live we have allot 4g. So i know i should get it any thing i can do? i am running it oc at 1.7 i had it lower 640 cause i read rest it didnt work with gingetrsteem and zvc update. Will the new update really help.
