so...kept losing signal. completely. no mobile network, nothing. couldn't text or call.
wasn't sure if i'd buggered something up with my messing about.
so, i've returned my phone to stock vodafone.

many, many thanks to ace hack kit for that!!

as an aside, vodafone PD98IMG images are hard to come by, it seems.
but, hack kit downloads one, and saves it to disk.

i had to change flash method, and used this image after transferring it to memory card.

it does work. downloading vodafone upgrade as i type

ps, successful update. 3. something or other

think i was trying to say, if you require a vodafone PD98IMG, to return phone to stock, this is how you can get one.

other than that, not quite sure.
