Triumph is now a lemon

I was setting up my cSip, testing the incoming call using PrankDialer. It comes in okay but I don't hear anything. So I use PrankDialer to forward to my main number instead. The call comes in, but is terribly broken up.

I had previously thought that the 3G was the only thing crippled, but now voice is crippled too, I have to sell the phone. Can't return it b/c I bought it from a Amazon 3rd party vendor. I spent the $ to setup my line and that's non-refundable, so I'm out 35 bucks too. Sad part is that I had just gotten this last Wednesday.

I think that bad signal is the result of everything bad with this phone. I haven't had any other problems except poor reception which led to bad 3g speeds, bad voice quality and slow GPS lock.

Get a warranty one from vm. VMs warranty covers all phone's within a year. Just call/ email VM and tell them what's up and they will send you another one.

Well at least if it some kind of problem with the phone... I guess if you can connect to a wifi network you can see if you have the same problems.

It's been connected to the Wi-Fi since day 1. I don't have any issues when making/receiving calls over Wi-Fi but that is what gave me a false sense of security. It wasn't until I tested it using PrankDialer that I realize the voice quality was poor.

Just yesterday I had done some live calls and the CSR on the other side of the phone could barely hear me clearly and when he was talking, I noticed that the sound would skip every now and then. I dismissed it b/c the call was completed and the issue I called about was resolved.

This latest incident though finally convinced me that the signal quality is unacceptable. At least before, I thought the voice worked but 3g was crippled. Now it's both. I put it up on Amazon but I lost a lot more money then I thought.

Doesn't matter where you purchased the phone... If you call Virgin Mobile they will send you a replacement that come in 2-3 days. Once you get the new one you send back the old one with the issue so you don't get billed for the new one. There are some bad units but overall I've been very happy with this model of phone.

should have done research about virgin/sprints coverage in your area.

the phone may not be perfect on its own, but all YOUR problems had to do with the service.

and since this forum is about the PHONE, what was the point of this thread? to let everyone know that your mad? ok, well, bye and good luck on verizon, tmobile, or AT&T, whichever serves your area best.

Just a lil tidbit.

When I first got the triumph I had a bad time with people hearing me. It was the way I held the phone, the noise reduction Mic hole on the back of the phone was being coverewith my fingers try that

The phone sold in under 30 minutes last night rofl so it doesn't quite matter anymore. Right now I'm looking at the iPhone 3GS (activating on the GoPhone plan) or the Exhibit II 4G. I love iOS and it's up to date, albeit on old hardware so it's a strong consideration going up against the other pick.
