Root Weird things happening?

I have a desire hd, rooted, running stock software.
Every so often when I go to charge it, or whilst it is charging, it suddenly stops, even when the phone is off.
Secondly, I noticed on the weekend that when I was playing games like cut the ripe, fruit ninja and speed x, my phone continually froze, blacked out for a second, re lit and put the game into pause.
I'm just worried why this is happening and of I can do anything about it.

Well i think you are also facing the same problems that i am nowadays.....so i suggest you to be patient and keep on looking in the thread"my phone got freeze" this thread has been started by me and i hope within two three days i will get the right solution....up till now i have realized that ROM installed by factory is the best one as it has gone through a standardized quality control......all other ROMs become problematic at some stage.....so keep waiting and keep on looking at androidforums.com

Really....you should read the number of issues 'stock' ROMs have after they've gone through quality control.

I'd rather use a independent ROM that has been tested by the people who are going to use the phone in real life environments!! Most of these are built on stable releases of other ROMS anyway.

The "problem" with stock ROM's is that, if there are any bugs, updates can be slow to follow... with a custom ROM, the developers do not have all the red tape that a company (such as HTC) would have... they don't have to jump through as many hoops and, as such, updates are released quite quickly. It is also possible to contact the ROM dev directly... try getting through to the ROM devs at HTC and you won't get anywhere past the front line helpdesk people
