Yes. Install the drivers before you use the lg update tool. You can find those on the link from above.

To update, have the lg program open. Put your phone in usb debugging before your plug in. Once you Oliver should read your phone and you could update

I got everything working, except for my phone. While my phone was updating I stepped out for a bit, came back and saw my computer screen was black, the motors was still running on both devices. But since I couldn't get anything to show on my computer screen I turned off my computer. The message that was on my phone when it was updating is stuck on my phone, "LG Download is in progress. Do not disconnect cable."

The Document says that it wants me to download the MEID converter App, and jot down the 6 digit number it provides me on my phone. My phone is stuck on that do not disconnect USB message.
