Help First smartphone purchase - lots of questions

I purchased the Connect on Friday and it's my first smartphone. I've posted a question and getting help with battery issues but there are so many other questions.

I've watched an in depth video and will watch more, I've googled some questions and found some answers.

Question: The store downloaded yahoo mail for me and I had an email app on home screen and it's no longer there. I did notice yesterday that I had somehow created a second navigator icon and deleted it and wonder if somehow I renamed mail, 'navigator'. ??

Is there a way to view recently deleted apps?

I truly appreciate any help. I realize my question is very elementary and usually I enjoy and am pretty successful with searching for answers. But right now, not so good.
 
You can remove anything from the home screen and that does not affect if it is installed or not. You have to go into Applications in Settings to actually remove an app. You cannot remove bloatware (pre-installed apps) unless you root the phone. I suggest that you not get into that just yet as you can brick your phone if you mess up (i.e. turn it into a paperweight).
 
Yeah, I so wish I remove bloatware but definitely not in market for a paperweight. ;) On computer, I have a back/forward option by URL. Is this not an option on phone? I can go back by using loopy back arrow but haven't figured out how to return to my recent page viewed.
