Root what do i do now help

i downloaded a root program of this android forum i have installed on computer . i now i have to put the phone on debug.and then what do i do after that and what r all the steps i dont want to mess my prevail up its the only phone i got..if any one has time can they reply with the steps thanks its called prevail replenish and after its rooted will everthing work like it does now
 
Toto the root guide n download the Samsung drivers then once installed girl the root folder u downloaded n click run.bat
 
I'm pretty sure if you are running Gingerbread FA19 that the 1-click root will not work . You will probably need to root your phone by using Odin . Here is the link to that thread . As Thomas mention minus running the batch file , you MUST INSTALL THE DRIVERS FIRST . Most of the Odin files have the drivers included in them . Just unzip the file and install the drivers . If you have any questions regarding Odin , please post questions in that thread . They will be answered a lot faster . ;)

You should check out the video on using Odin by Murderous one, you can find it on YouTube or the noob guide in the all things root guide thread
