Root LG Update overwrote root?

Ry024

Lurker
I rooted my phone and everything went successful, but then a couple days later I got an update from LG and I guess it overwrote the root, and removed superuser rights, is there a way to turn off automatic updates from LG? Or do I just have to re-root each time I get an LG update?

Re root it's the same way

I use Tatinium Backup to Freeze >MobileCare Muc6.1_MPCS_B06_33:D

Do I have to re-install the spectrum drivers before rooting again? Or are they still there?

drvers still there.
for the connect 4g the auto update is here: /system/app/MobileUpdateClient.apk

make a backup, delete, or rename it to MobileUpdateClient.apk.bak using es file explorer

Is there a way to downgrade after being upgraded?
There would be if we had an image of ZV8 - which is still possible, if someone stops by IRC and gives us one. However, there doesn't appear to be much benefit to it. Root continues to work on ZV9, and while inbuilt tethering is blocked, other applications fill the void just fine.
