Help Yet ANOTHER charging issue

I bought my Asus TF about 6 months ago...it still charges, BUT mine has always seemed like it only does a trickle charge. If I have the TF plugged into the wall outlet the battery icon doesn't change and when I got into the battery options in the settings, it shows it's not charge. However, if I leave the TF alone for a while it will show that the battery has increased. I let it sit on the charge turned off for 24 hours and it only got to 45%.

I checked videos and other threads about taking off the plug adapter and adjusting the pins and then putting the adapter back on...didn't help. I also saw something about how the USB plug sometimes gets loose and you can bend down the prongs slightly to sit the connection better..did that too...still didn't help.

I noticed that if I have the TF is standby and then plug it in to the charger, the screen comes on like it's charging, but again it doesn't change the battery icon or show that it's charging in the settings > about > battery section.

Any more ideas what it might be?

Anyone have ideas? Would this be a problem with the plug, the cord or the tablet itself? I called support about this previously and they weren't any help.

Hard to say unfortunately, do you have the dock, or just the tab? If you've both, does it make a difference to the charge speed if you're connected?

With these sort of problems, my first suggestion is to try with another battery but obviously that's not possible here. Is there a store you could user that stocks the transformer that you think might alloow you to try one of their chargers?

I just have the tablet, but am looking into buying the dock if this keeps happening...and especially with the rapid rate my TF is losing battery life with ICS.

I will check around...I found a store that sells the charger for $30 so I might go there and try a new charger...if that doesn't make a difference I'll just return it.

I did talk to support tonight and they aren't sure what is causing the problem. I tried to send in for RMA, but their systems are down...so I'll have to call back tomorrow :/

ok I bought a new A/C charger and it works fine. Guess it was defective since it was shipped and now ASUS won't give me a replacement since it's past my 90 day warranty.
