Root For does who has no data at all (fix)

Using QPST
Hit Read from phone put your SPC

1- Go to M.IP tab and select profile 0 and edit your user name remove the "aaak." just for the first row. Should be (yournumber@mymetropcs.com)
then change the mobile ip behavior to: simple IP only

2- Go to PPP Config - and choose Um, change the user name (Your Phone#@mymetropcs.com) the password is your SPC

3- Go to PPP Config- and choose AN, change the user name (Your Phone#@mymetropcs.com) the password is your SPC

4 -Write to Phone (wait for phone to restart)
wait a few mins and your 1X/3G should be back!

This happened to me yesterday and I referred to the same thing! It helped out a lot! :D But Still no 3G as what MetroPCS said: "We are working on improving the 3G". I'm in 1x for now, ##DEBUG#
 
With a couple of edit's to the network, and some DNS changes, My download is : 1.4 MB/s and upload : 1.2 MB/s

I want to push it to 2 MB/s but I highly doubt that will work.

I've done these. I've noticed a difference.

Changed DNS to Google Speed Servers.. Check.
Tried the 3GSuper Charger, it just edits build.prop.. check.
3g/4g speed optimier..check.
Changed multimedia IPs..Check.
What else have you done?
Did you do one of these?

1) How and where do you change the DNS to Google Speed Servers?
2) 3GSuper Charger?
3) How and what do you change the multimedia IPs to?
 
1. Settings, Wireless Networks, wifi settings, menu button, advanced, scroll down. dns 1: 8.8.8.8
dns 2: 8.8.8.4
2. i mean 3g turbo charger. google it also make sure to include xda on the search.i used expiremental2 w/ 3g 3027 on a *good* signaled area, i guess it is, my whole town has 4G all over.
3. i dunno if it works because my speed felt ALOT slower after doing this. 1x speeds all over again! so i reboot, but they didnt save. menu had no menu button. anyways.
so nevermimd. dont try.

Just tried everything there except the 3G Turbo Charger, and it didn't help any. 1x speeds still massively faster than 3G speeds, and my 1x speeds never exceed 133kbps down and 150kbps up. Tested this with a clear view of the connected tower about 1/3 mile away.

I'm starting to think it's about time I call up Metro and bitch at them to drop that extra $10/month from my bill since I'm not getting what they're claiming to offer.
 
try the turbo charger, download the .pdf from xda, download script manager, run as script and root, choose fastest/ expiremental2. i prefer ex2.

The whole 3G Turbo Charger thing is confusing me. I'm finding so many edits and versions, reading that thread on xda would probably take weeks.

Heres how to do it.
Run the script manager, look for the place where you put the 3gturbo boost sh.
run as SU/ ROOT
and pick which is best for you. since its metro, i would choose fastest/expiremental2.
But try the one that suits you the most.

Thanks. For some reason that thread would never show up for me when searching. Only one I could find was [ITA] - WM6 Trinity Lasagna 3 Kaiser Edition (5.2.1933 Build 18533.0.7.0) - 03/11/07 - Page 50 - xda-developers, which probably explains my confusion.

Did it all, and holy ****!
1x speeds stayed the same
3G speeds (with a shitty signal 76dBm 76 asu) went from < 100kbps down around 300+/- 30kbps.

After all of that I assume it's ok to uninstall some of the programs and remove the .txt file?
 
Well, the apps. 3G/4G speed optimizer, BusyBox (not needed by any of the rooted stuff I have on, so might as well remove it), and Script Manager.
