Samsung Kies Crashes..

I tried to update My S2 to the new firmware through kies.. and my phone is rooted.. but after downloading 100% of the firmware . Samsung Kies crashes .. is there another way to update ? or is there a solution to correct this prob ?

MY csc code is = I9100OXAKI4

but i dont find this OXA code in that directory but when i connect my phone to the kies i get a notification to update my phone to LPQ i think.. and if i cant update the phone via kies if im rooted.. the way is to first unroot the phone and then update it via kies and root it again ? am i right ? or is there any other way .. can u please guide me to do this..

Connect your phone, via USB, to your PC and flash the new firmware via Odin3 v1.85, as shown here in this guide:-

okay sorry for the noob questions guyz.. now im on the 2.3.5 firmware .. i downloaded the 4.0.3 firmware that suits for my phone ..

CURRENT INFO.
PDA and PHONE. - I9100XXKI4
CSC : I9100OXAKI4


Now i downloaded the I9100OXXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_XEO.zip from Sammobile. so am i good to go with ODIN now ? and im not going to backup anything because the guide says that it will not remove my data , contacts or etc from the phone..

What sort of software have you lost? Bear in mind that not all app's in the Play Store are ICS compatible.

Thanks to all of You Bros... Yeah i got to know that.. now flashing the Kernal Only is about rooting stuff.. and Flashing the whole firmware includes the Kernal Modem and other thing i dont remember .. then whats ROM ?
