Well guys, I have been digging around in Twitter for a while to see if I can find anything new. I did find a couple things - nothing like devdroidian's pics that landed in my lap the other night... lol! So tonight, I went to Twitter and punched in some things and did a search on them...

1) The first thing I searched was "ADR6300." Lo and behold, there's only one result - and it's our good pal Wonderbread trying to get more info from Sarab Singh! lol! Small world! So that was a dead end.

2) Then I typed in "PC36100." Now the lone result that I got from this one intrigued me - and I need your help in trying to figure out what little miss "AndroidDeviceSpy" is up to! Click on her name in that twitter result and you'll see a list of devices - but no explanations. Any ideas? Could be something - could be nothing.

Did you also notice this post by AndroidDeviceSpy

That was tweeted on Jan. 26th, about a month before the VZW inventory list showed it.

I think someone said it earlier, but i do believe that is the supersonic. don't quote me though.. there was some discussion in the FCC battery thread that Wonderbread made (i forget which forum it was in) that had alot of good info on these model numbers.

The "Bio" for that twitter account also says: Monitoring android device signatures

Can someone explain to me what that means? I'm assuming, unless this person has access to all the carriers of the world's servers, that it would be impossible to keep up with signatures/footprints.. unless im totally off on this.

Could this be device tracker from an android app? You download an app it reads the device signature, and then it uploaded to this twitter account. They obviously must filter it to exclude previously released phones/signatures. I think this is the most likely possibility and def interesting but really does not tell us anything more except that the device exists.

I was looking at the pictures taken by Devdroidian, and it looks to me like the Incredible is not nearly as thick as some people were saying. In the first pic below:

Next, assuming these phones are in the same position as the last photo, look at how much of the left side of the G1 can be seen even though the Incredible is right next to it:

To me, it looks like the Incredible is much thinner.

Devdroidian, how would you compare the two in terms of thickness, and how about the Incredible compared to the N1?

Sorry if this has been pointed out already, I couldn't find any posts discussing the shadows.

This is definitely the droid i'm looking for, you can even see the deathstar schematics in the bottom right corner.

I think they are legit too just proposing possible alternatives. I want my Incredible much more than the N1 after reading about HTC saying the N1 doesn't belong in a pocket. Do they realize how much abuse the average iPhone takes? I have mine in pockets all the time while I am moving around, leaning, bending, lifting, etc. and I have yet to crack the screen.

HTC: Yes the N1 does belong in and will go in a pocket. Mobile phones are supposed to be reasonably durable. I could understand if you had it in a pocket with keys and they scratched the screen or were in such a position that they actually cracked it with the point but c'mon just having it in a pocket by itself snug in a pocket in a pair of jeans and twisting a certain way cracking the screen is just ridiculous.

Was that comment ever confirmed or documented by Google or HTC? I thought it was just an answer given by a support rep. If that's the case, I wouldn't take it as gospel. Hard to believe a phone was designed to not be carried in your pocket.

Exactly. Especially when it shows the phone going into a front pocket on the google.com/phone animation.

HTC on Nexus One cracked screen: "They don't go in pockets" - Crave at CNET UK

"Putting a phone in a tight pair of jeans and sitting down would usually cause the kind of damage,"

Just don't wear tight jeans :D

Seriously though, if you watch the Bend test around 3:00 in the test video it looks like it should handle being bent in a pocket.

Maybe the jeans were too tight and the phone had no room at all when the person bent down? I know when I am wearing tight jeans, eventually the phone will start to come out of the top of the pocket when I bend over. But if jeans are too tight, fabric starts to roll and bunch in certain areas and the person's phone may have been stuck and bent beyond its stress point.

Well, thickness does have an advantage. Since the Incredible looks thicker it should handle that better.

Doing some flikr searching turned up this photo. Looks like a prototype or something as the casing is strange but it clearly is running a sense ui which means it's some HTC phone.

Yeah, we've seen these before. It appears to be a disguised Bravo/Desire.

WARNING: Slightly Off Topic Question

With HTC Incredible and Sense UI would I be able to root the phone like the nexus one to enable wifi/usb tethering? If so would that interfere with Sense UI? I want to be able to use my future android phone to tether to my dell mini 9 (and other future devices). Thanks. BB

looks like a white desire?

I was just about to mention that. Although we have seen these pictures in the past it may be good to note that this may have been a dev unit of the bravo/desire. If you look through the history of pictures of the desire it went from this white unit, to one that looks solid black, to its current state which is very N1-esqe. It is possible that we could see the Incredible have the blazing red back in all these dev units, yet come out completely different looking. I honestly would be very happy if it came out looking similar to the N1. I think the N1 is a very aesthetically pleasing device.

Just my .02 on that whole thing...

On a side note I hope the Incredible comes with that sweet masking tape look. Might keep people from ever wanting to steal my phone :D

Very true and even if a 3rd part (sedio) or someting doesn't make a case for the incredible. I'll spray paint my back cover any color i want!

I'm sure HTC has to say a blanket "dont put it in your pocket" so people don't put it in their back pocket and then sit down and break it. Also as I have found (and I dont wear tight jeans) depending on how your driver seat is set up you can hit the wheel or get tight enough to press buttons on a phone, do it fast enough and it might cause some damage. Not to mention how many have said "It was in my pocket" when in reality they mean "it was in my pocket when I slammed that door on my leg"?

Oh yea, and 15 days to hopefully Incredible goodness.

Why use masking tape when you can go top of the line with duct tape, in pretty much any color you want? Cover that bad boy in lime green, purple or perhaps hot pink?:D

If it comes out with that red back I would bet $100 that Sedio will make a back plate for it. It's not hard to see that as an easy way to make money. I'm thinking to 70% of people looking at that phone they will ask themselves "Why in the blue hell would they mass produce something so bright and obnoxious?" They'll make easy money off of this phone for sure.

You have a great idea there!!! Man, who cares what the back plate looks like when you have duct tape around?! :D

Even excluding the possibility of companies making interchangeable backplates, wouldnt you want a case for the phone anyway? Regardless of choosing the N1 or the Incredible, I'm not going to break this phone. I'm 100% getting a case. Waited far to long for this phone to get it, and then break it. A case will take care of the back - I'm no longer fretting over the red cover.

I'm starting to lean towards the feeling that the Incredible won't be out until April...I'm thinking 15 days til N1 comes to see us....I really wish the N1 had sense, I'd be all over that thing.
