Official ICS Leak Thread - all leaked ICS talk goes here

How did you load it? Is your phone rooted? I think that if you loaded it in the stock unrooted method on an unrooted phone, then you should be ok. Otherwise you will have to load the stock RUU and then re-lock.

i loaded a unrooted version from android police onto my sd card .. my phone is not rooted.

I deleted the zip file from my sd card(that i loaded to get ics) but everytime i try to restart phone or do factory reset it powers back up with 4.0.

In HBOOT is there another option i should select ?

any opinion on when the OTA update comes out that it still might update ?

I don't think there is (at least not easily) a way to go back to the previous version (Gingerbread). I'm sure once the final update gets released, someone will post it, and it should be just as easy as putting the zip on the SD card and doing it again. Hopefully at least.

If I'm not mistaken, you should be able to take the OTA update even though you have that installed. Please someone correct me if I am wrong.

You can do the OTA, provided its not the same version, or HTC doesn't release it to those who already applied the leaked update. I remember this happening a few years back.. I want to say with the Hero (maybe it was the EVO), where HTC pretty much left people who'd updated a leaked version in the dark for about a month, because updating to the leaked version threw those who did "off the upgrade path" or some BS. Either way, I'm sure once it's released, it'll be as easy as getting the .zip and applying it that way again, unless of course, the final is the same versrion AS the leaked, then there won't be any need to re-apply, etc.

ok. Thanks for the "peace of mind"lol..i never thought of just doing it again in a zip file. guess i will find out soon enough : ) Thanks again

Oh, I'm in the same boat as you. Got a Rezound on Saturday on Craigslist, flashed ICS to it that night, so you won't be the only one here going bat shit crazy if there's no easy way to upgrade to the final release (if it actually does hit this week, or when it does period for that matter).

I just did an inventory of the data/files/apps on the two phones and copy/backup to the laptop. Inventory of apps is easy - hit print-screen on the various pages (long list) of installed apps... just the icons showing the app names will be enough since we can download it later if necessary. Also print-screen the various (7) desktops/panels with all the icons (names) too in case it disappears later.

One item that I can't seem to find is the speedtest.net data on the phone. Anyone knows which subdirectory it is located or is it in the cloud? Thanks.
