Help CM7, wait for CM9 or new phone

So i have the Motorola triumph and I am just wondering should update it to CM7 with gingerbread, wait until a sloid release of cm9 comes out or just get a new phone. Really wanting the HTC one X really not wanting the price or the phone bill.

CM7 reloaded is great but there r some problem for one hdmi don't work. bluetooth and wifi don't get along. but its way better than stock rom. But ziggy46 Mobstergunz joeycmb g60madman have gingerbread 2.3.4 coming along with hdmi working but stuff is still broken but there still working at it. so you can either go with CM7 now and wait for 2.3.4 to be great or stay with stock and wait for 2.3.4. either way don't forget to make a backup of your stock rom.

Actually I'm fairly certain the only thing is HDMI not working. Bluetooth and Wifi don't have a problem together and haven't for a while, unless there is something recent...

@Guysmoothing How's the coverage with VM? If you get fairly good coverage and decent speeds might as well stick with VM. If you don't have very good coverage than might want to move... There's also T-mo's prepaid (if you get good T-mo coverage) and supposedly their supposed to be getting the tegra 3 (4core + 1energy saving core), compared to the dual core s4 in the AT&T variant although that is still up in the air...

Bluetooth and wifi both work but when there on together wifi stops working whyzor already know of the problem it been like this since 3/01 update but since his last update was 3/25 he won't be looking more into it.

Oh ok. So I was wrong then. I haven't really been keeping to close of tabs on the development of it lately...

I can personally attest that BT and WiFi work concurrently--at least since 04 Mar build. I use BT for my earpiece and OBDII scanner and WiFi is always on at home and sometimes out and about.

The only issue is that the phone won't deep sleep if BT or WiFi are enabled.

How is the phone lacking in what you want it to do?

A release-grade CM9, I assume, is a ways off.

If you're wondering, fortunately, its no big deal to try different ROMs using CWM backup and restore. I use CM7 with Minimal Triumph as my fallback. I haven't tried MIUI but it looks nice and its popular. With all these options, you should find something you like.

And personally, I'll never run Sense again (had it on WM6.5) and it defeats the purpose of running Android.

Sure. Just get a bluetooth OBDII reader (there are lots on Amazon and eBay, though some might be more reliable than others, or get one of the expensive ones from ScanTool.Net or a few other companies), and an OBDII app, like Torque, from Google Play.
 
My DH has a setup that runs on an ancient Windows 3.1 laptop. Can't see how anything made this century wouldn't be an improvement. :)
