Root [ROM][BOOST/SPRINT][ZVC]Marky Beats v2 beta[updated 7/30]

I couldnt fix bluetooth with a hotfix, so you have to install the whole rom. U WILL LOSE APP/USER DATA
That's what Titanium Backup Is for hehe.. Thanks Monster, will flash it over here soon and let ya know man!

*Edit*
Thanks, I am digging the new BootAni and the new Notification Bar as well as the icons!! I haven't checked, but I didn't have to do a factory reset so I don't think I will have to redo the MMSC URL Change. Also if you want CRT Animation you must reflash the zip. I did notice that BT was not laggy after running it and I can control it with my Power Settings Widget, but still no working FTP. I did notice I had 2 BT Share.apk's So I froze the one that didn't take away my option to send a pic in my Gallery via BT. Either way, not sure what happened. Overall Love the ROM, just wished I could use Bluetooth to share files again and it would be 100! Again Thanks MONSTER, great work so far!

Loving the changes in the new beats know that your work is very appreciated.

If u flash the crt mod it well screw the bt up, I'll make a new one later today

did u test your bt headphones?

Yes I did and it works perfectly I think my main problem was the actual Beats music player since you are using the stock music app it's working perfectly for me.

I flashed CRT and it didn't bother my BT headphones.

I haven't flashed the CRT Animation and still am having an issue with my BT.. I will test with a phone later to see if its possible it is my PC. Though I don't know what could have an effect on my PC's end since I haven't changed anything on it since it worked last. (Which was with the stock ROM.) Maybe I am doing something wrong if others can use Bluetooth FTP?

*Edit*
I noticed this on my pc now too.. (The screenshot is to big to upload here, so i uploaded it to tinypic.)

*Update*
Had to reinstall the drivers on my PC again, then restart my PC. Now Bluetooth FTP works great both ways. Thanks again MONSTER!! You are the best!

how easy is this to install? I have never installed a custom ROM on any particular phone. I already have it rooted with CWM. I just don't want to brick my phone.....the instructions seems easy enough BUT there is no detail at all. Anyone care to make the instructions more n00b friendly please.

TO INSTALL:
-MAKE A BACKUP - How do you make a backup?
-You MUST, do a Factory Reset prior to flashing. - How do you do a factory reset?
-Download or copy the zip to the root of your sdcard - Understand that step
-Reboot into CWM Recovery -Understand that step
-"Install zip from Sd" - Understand that step
-Select zip and hit "yes" - Understand that step
-Reboot! - Understand that step
-Install any hotfixes for your version - What???

Backup: Boot into CWM, 6th option is backup and restore. Select by using the volume keys to move down. Use the search button (magnifying glass) to select, backup and wait for it to finish.

Back out to the main menu using the return button.

Factory reset is third option. use the keys as above to select.

hot fixes are listed in the original OP... and you install them in CWM from the install zip from sdcard... 5th option from the main menu.

Hope this helps...

Well I did happen to notice this very very minor detail.. If you do reinstall the crt.zip after you update to MB v1.2, BT still works fine, but the awesome battery indicator that you added goes back to the normal ICS style Indicator. I just reflashed MB v1.2 and didn't reinstall crt.zip because I like the battery indicator better haha. Just thought I'd mention it for all intensive purposes. Either way, awesome ROM |Monster|! !

If I time later this evening I'll try enabling it for the new framework. Otherwise tomorrow

You will lose your programs from a factory reset, yes. That's why you do the backup. Later, when you've got the new rom loaded, you can restore the apps from your backup (extract from nandroid). I use Ti Backup myself, but there are others (such as ROM Toolbox) that work, too.
I'm pretty sure Monster has already pre-rooted this ROM, you won't have to worry about root.

cant send mms can anyone help me out .
Did you change your MMSC URL?

|MONSTER|'s Instructions to Fix MMS issues with Marky Beats ROM:
To get it MMS to work: download aLogcat (free) from market. Open it and start the log. Hit the "home" button on the phone and go to dialer and enter ##3282# then hit "advanced" hit "view". Then hit the back button on your phone and go to "data profile" hit "edit" and enter 000000. It will say it is wrong, hold the home button and switch back to aLogcat and pause it. Hit "filter" and type msl

After you get that 6 digit code, go to ##3282# hit MMSC, edit, enter your msl, then change the address to http://mm.myboostmobile.com

Hit back and your done, you may need to reboot.
NOTE: Make sure to use the stock dialer.apk, GO Contacts will not work for the Dialer Code; ##3282#.
[Follow these instructions to a T and you should be all good :D]

And when you go back to check it still says: http://mm.myboostmobile.com under MMSC URL? If so try rebooting and going back to Dialer enter: ##3282#>MMSC>Edit and if it still shows boost just hit the back button till you are back to the dialer, and try sending an MMS to yourself..If that doesn't work try installing Go SMS and edit the MMS Settings.

(Instructions by |MONSTER|)
Go To Android Market

Install GoSMSPro
in go sms pro app
hit menu>settings>Advanced Tab>MMS settings>Fill APN config Manually
or hit menu>hit settings and scroll to the bottom where you see MMS Settings>Fill APN configuration manually [check box] then:

Enter:
MMSC: http://mm.myboostmobile.com
MMS proxy: blank
MMS Port: 80

At this point as far as I know there is not a fix for the stock mms. You can, and probably will, still receive mms with the stock mms. Though to send you must use GO SMS. At one point my stock mms seemed to work, but I just tried it and it's not working. Will have to wait and see if I may have missed a fix for the stock. Though at least this is a good temp fix, especially for me since I have used GO SMS since I first got the phone anyway. I like the themes and style better for sure.

I never use go SMS. All I did was change the MMSC server and have no problems. If people restore any SMS/mms type apps from prior their are chances that it eff's up ur settings. I'm running mb 1.2 with only aLogcat added to the phone besides the stocks apps, changed server, was sending several pictures successfully last night with no error at all. I always use the stock messenger.

Hmm, it could be from when I used Titanium Restore after I installed MB 1.2 then. Not sure. I know at one point after your fix I could use the stock sms to send mms, though now I can only use GO. To me it's no big deal since I use GO- SMS, Contacts, and Launcher EX because they all have matching themes. I will test in a little bit to see if a fresh MB 1.2 install w/o the backup first and see if the stock mms is working for me. Will post after.
-PS I hit you up on talk, get at me when you have a spare 15 minutes, thanks |Monster|.
