Text Messages in phone logs

Hi, New user over from Blackberry. How do i stop text message history from showing up in my phone log. It's already captured in the message text history file and i don't need the multiple entrees in my phone log. I'd just like actual phone calls showing up there...thanks in advance

Your kidding me? Samsung doesn't have a menu option to achieve this? I'm not going to play with the firmware with changes

Honestly I havent been stock in so long I dont really remember lol. I dont think there is another way though but someone else may know better.

Zane: I am sorry for any confusion, as for some device depending on the firmware version, the options change.
Zane: Please let me know the options you have on the phone screen, on selecting "view by".
Visitor: All logs, missed calls, dialed calls, recieved calls, rejected calls, sent messages, recieved messages
Zane: Just to confirm, you are referring to assign calls to be viewed, is that correct?
Visitor: I want to see 'only' calls on the phone log, recieved and dialed
