Root Totally lost 3g / data connection. Still have cell service though

Ok gonna throw this out there to see what everyone thinks, but I believe I know where I messed up....

had soft bricked putting CM7 on, so did an Odin push back to stock. Did the Removal of of Custom system warning per the page here and put Monster 4 back on my phone.

Now for some reason missing Data. No 3g or 1x symbol in my status bar and no connection...

Any thoughts on what to do to correct this. Have already called Metro and walked through their settings mode to reset MEID etc...

Still Nothing.
 
*#*#4636#*#* press phone info.....scroll down and turn off radio and wait a minute...then turn it back on...change the mode you are using to unknown....your options are cdma auto prl....and gsm...etc. etc. etc. but try the unknown first....then press menu and the bottom right option is enable data....press that and then back out until you are at your home screen. reboot...and check if you have data.
 
Progres update. Odin Stock restore went fine, but having probems pushing hte phone restore to undo the 2.3.6 modem changes....
 
Trying one more download of the phone tar, just incase it was a bad download. If that fails then going to have to go QPST it seems. I'm not going without Data on my phone....

Now question on a side note. I've got a stock, unmoded Admire here that is my wife's phone. Any tricks anyone can think of that I might be able to use with that and get mine back to normal?
 
@swains use Odin to create cement, create a backup on your wife's phone, put it in the clockwork /backup/ folder and restore it. you don't have to root to use cwm

@SamsungAdmire So a full recovery will replace the modem?? Shouldn't have flashing Monster or another rom done the same thing or would that not have been included in all the data included??


Working on a download of a full clockwork mod that was previously posted on the forums, but for some reason it is being damn slow today.
 
In the meantime have done the QPST Fix steps 1 to 16 from Regarding the 2.3.6 Update & MetroPCS (Solved) By GTK313.

In doing that and not messing with anything for the market or MMS, everything is working just fine. both MMS, and Play Store.

Wow this has been an ordeal.

The Down side is I still have that nasty lil triangle on my first boot....

Oh well Will futz with it if and when I ever need to take the phone back to metro
 
Now i know why ya wanna check out 2.3.6 on the other thread ! yes it will get rid of your yellow stain and reset your binary counter. after you load the 236 update just odin install cwm, and then load any one of the new roms on this admire forum site. but read the "regarding 2.3.6 upgrade" thread , thats REAL good information.

Well didn't reset my binary counter but it did get rid od the yellow custom triangle... But anyhow Have a plan now for when I get home and can work on this some more...
 
good deal! now put CWM on it and load a cwm rom restore of your choice and your done.:cool:
