For them not to put something up against the Desire on AT&T would be, for lack of a better term, business suicide. Imagine someone who wants to jump into the smartphone world - aka your average consumer. They see VZW with an N1 that they're (possibly) not selling in stores versus AT&T who has the crowds gawking for the past 3 years over the iPhone, and now the Desire. And now enter T-mobile who is jumping in the high tier smartphone realm. For that average joe and his teenage daughter who have heard all the hype about smartphones from this person and that person, and who probably care for appearance more than actual specs, VZW does not look very appealing.
Yep, I may just jump ship to T-Mob now that they have the HD2, which is really the HTC phone I've wanted all along. It's a beast of a smartphone, is going to run WinMo 7, so you know there won't be any issues syncing it to Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, oh and it will work virtually all throughout Europe too!

VZW is on the verge of committing corporate suicide, just as you said.

Have they confirmed it was going to run WinMo 7?? from what i've heard, the physical buttons not being correct may be a problem and Microsoft might not allow it to be WinMo 7 compatible.

"Incredible launches on Verizon early Q2. It will be announced at CTIA. Supersonic in Q3 on Sprint"

Looks like im gonna be getting either a Nexus One or Blackberry now :(

Dude that's only April or early May -- Exactly the release date Mr. S gave me before he went private!

Okay, I have a plan.

Let's all meet each other in California and raid HTC USA. Once we have complete control, we will each give ourselves an Incredible for beta testing then demand them to make it look like the Desire and to give us the phone for free. Sound good?

Oh I dream, I dream

if you go back a ways on his twitter page he says that the HTC Incredible and Supersonic are the android equivalents to the HD2...does that mean 4.3" screen?

Read back about 3 pages. He says the HD2 was crippled from the get go (cause of winmo 6.5) when HTC announced two android equivalents to it

I read on a U.K. site that the HD2 would be upgradable to WinMo 7 when it was released, so I presumed the U.S. version of the phone would as well. But now with the news that the Incredible will be released in Q2, I'm in a quandry again. Geez, this constant back and forth tug of war is killing me. Get these phones out on the market already, VZW so you don't piss me and others here off to the point where don't give a damn how good your network is. IS THAT ASKING TOO MUCH!!??

Do you know who Everythingblaxx is? He states AS FACT that Incredible will launch beginning of 2nd quarter, and will be announced at CTIA?

mcbtrain? It looks like you've sopoken with him...

i didnt mention anything bout it cuz he's trying to push it off as fact, when really he's just regurgitating the speculated rumors we all know about. he has no source or inside connection.

he also rips HTC alot saying they will be the downfall of android, which left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Great, if that's the case then perhaps I'll hold off on all HTC phones and look at upgrading to a newer Blackberry and get a one year plan in hopes that Motorola comes out with something more kick-ass than the Droid by then. This is getting more depressing as the days and hours wear on. :(

Announce the Incredible at CTIA? "And here is the HTC Incredible!" Audience: "G-d, it's ugly at Red! *yawn*"

Ok... here's the REAL deal.*

The iPhone is NOT coming to Verizon anytime soon. Steve "Blow"Jobs is still pissy about Verizon passing on his precious little toy the first time around. As desperate as Verizon is to get their grubby paws on it now, he's holding out tighter that a tweenie Pentacostal virgin.

So what are we, Verizon to do?? We will make our own!!! We shall conjure up the mythical "iPhone Killer".

HTC can build it. They have the technology! (Cue the cheesy bionic man theme).

Here are the specs:

  • * HTC Touch FLO 3D Navigation
  • * 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7600 Processor
  • * 512MB Flash/288MB RAM
  • * Wi

there is so much regurgitated crap floating around. Most likey started from this forum got twisted now its reposted as breaking news when it was just theorys we had. Alot of the stuff is hard to trace back

Ok... here's the REAL deal.*

Is it time for CITA yet?

* Or at least a pretty good theory.
LMAO!! Post of the thread thus far. You've summed my feelings up pretty darn good there. If I could give you 10 thumbs I would. Touche and shame on VZW for having the best network, but the shittiest phones for it.

Hello, I'm new. But still a lurker. I found this on twitter, hopefully it wasn't posted already.

This Ruben guy seems to have the HTC Incredible as well. He could be a tester. If you go through his tweets, he's been installing Apps onto it
